I found this on tiktok and everyone at first liked it until it was mentioned that the movie would be financed by skydance and john lasseter and going on netflix

In Robot Chicken, they made a parody of Rainbow Brite letting out a huge fart when she thought she was in the privacy of her own home. I found that delightfully funny and almost human.
Then there was the elevator gag in rob zombie's El superbeasto, that I can't find the clip of but it was trying to be funny with a punchline and not just "farting for the sake of farting."

That being said;

Why the fuck is Fart fetishism so common in western animation? At least it’s not being inserted in a kid show this time I guess.
When fifi le fume in tiny toons was used for the "stinky skunk" gag 1. It was carrying on a tradition started by the original pepe le pew, 2. It wasn't a fart joke it was "she smells bad because she's a skunk, 3. It was written by people who know what they were doing and actually cared about honoring the legacy of the looney tunes comedy before it.

I don't "get" the mindset behind mating season. Big mouth was created with the idea of being a "coming of age story with hints of sex ed and biology class." It's spinoff human resources was meant to expand into the human condition itself (relationships, emotions, anger, depression, pregnancy and parenting) both of those shows failed horribly at their concepts mind you. Both fell into the same trap hole of "lol sex and gross jokes R funnie!" Adult animation falls into, but who does mating season appeal too? Supposedly like human resources it's meant to address and be a lot at relationships and navigating them..may I ask why you needed talking forest animals to tell that story?

Ps. Are these Screencaps from previews of the show? Or has it been leaked already? Cause we still got a month before the official release.

never mind i found it, and still wish i hadnt.

Oh one last note here. The idiots writing this crap failed middle school science class because skunks do NOT like using their spray. They hate the smell as much as any other animal or humans do, and only use it as a last resort. I'm just saying natural habitat shorts is made by a much smaller staff for almost no budget and shorts format on youtube and they understood this better than Nick Kroll and his cronies ever did.

Rock & Rule has stellar animation, but the third act felt rushed and anticlimactic. Mok was the best character.

Speaking of early nelvana, something i wish could have been made was their proposed doctor who tv series.

I mean would it have been good? maybe not, it was developed in concept during the wilderness years of the show, and it probably would have pissed people off, but I could see it as serviceable considering their's going to be a cbeebies dr who show

So he'd be the Seven-and-a-halfth Doctor?

Possibly, basically how the show was going to work was that it would be a continuation of the original series, a new doctor, a new k9 some cyber bird and a new companion, there were going to be thin lanky cybermen, and a dalek tank.

it all seems so weird but promising, but then a british animation studio (probably cosgrove hall studios: count duckula, danger mouse, the wind in the willows, etc) said they could make it cheaper than nelvana and add onto the fact that tyco toys: the previous owners of matchbox cars wanted to make toys for the show by a specific deadline, so all of that and possibly some sort of management shakeup at the bbc led to the show being canceled.

Are any commercially released cartoons made the old way anymore?

If not, which was the last one made using traditional animation?

Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy
That reminds me: sometime by the '00s, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network would air endless reruns of the same show for hours.

So for example, Nick would show nothing but Rocket Power, and CN would show nothing but Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy for like 8 hours.

What does the creator of this wanna make his main character more fat or something while its on hold?

Also this guy's art has got to be goonbait
I was actually wondering “what the hell was he thinking” and found a statement that “it’s (a show) about 2000’s social problems, like Kate with her weight and her and Alex’s gender issues.” It reminded me that there are revised bios on here somewhere but… the 2000’s? Really? I suspect that they got told “there are already things about gender issues tacked onto the 2000’s, do something else.”
