The nerd even went through it's own flanderization. His expressions and reactions are totally exaggerated compared to back in the day. If you look at older episodes vs newer episodes James does way more of the mouth gaping open screaming shit then he ever did back in the day. It also feels strained and awkward unlike back then.

Ain't it funny how the OG Angry Internet Review guys - James Rolfe, Doug Walker, and the Red Letter Media guys - are still at it 20 years later, never sold out to groups like Nebula and the like, and in real life, are happy well-adjusted guys?

And then you have your Irate Gamers and Spoonys. There have been some major disasters on and off. I haven't checked on Irate lately though, last I saw he was doing spiritualism stuff all the time.
 
Chris Bores made hella bank doing children’s toy reviews and stuff on YouTube under the monicker Puppet Steve - yes, that Steve and yes, a puppet. He struck while the iron was white hot during peak COVID times and I remember seeing some of his videos get tens of millions of views. Looks like he is still pushing videos out that only get a couple thousand views, but his older stuff is still likely generating him a fair bit of passive income. He does some of his spiritualism stuff as “The Ghost Doctor”. It’s not nearly as successful. His most popular video was him covering the Sonichu medallion and the curse behind it. If you can temper the cringe, it’s actually fairly well done and amusing.

At least he did some shit with himself unlike Spoony who just sat around and posting shit takes no one cares about on Twitter/X/whatever all day, for over a decade.

Those guys over there are seemingly content to just repeat and rehash the same five fucking jokes over and over again, that's their "content", most of the time there's no actual discussion. Just "lolol muh 5:40, no time, crusty Justy, slobwave, fat guys, hurr" which is pretty common on all Reddit threads. Maybe if you're super lucky, you'll get the legendary, ground-breaking knee-slapper "Lol James is bald now!" Redditoids are incredibly happy to just post the same five or six quotes from The Office or Seinfeld, tell the same jokes and make the same stupid fucking puns until the heat death of the universe, even though none of it is actually funny anymore. If it isn't that, it's the typical "Reddit jokes" - hurr hurr, le poopknife, lolol he had two broken arms so his mom jerked him off, hehe the narhwal bacons at midnight, remember that guy who fucked a coconut???

That entire site is a flaming pit of scum forgotten by God.

As far as other "angry reviewers", I was always partial to Armake21, even if he was kind of a dickhead. I remember some shit about him asking his fans to replace his broken computer like twice, so he went out and spent a shit-ton of money on some overpriced Alienware monstrosity back in like 2008 or something. People were real mad at him about that. But he died a couple years back, so I guess it doesn't matter now.
