I don't think the US pays for Israel's healthcare. I think the aid is purely military/defense, and even then, much of the weaponry is purchased from the US. Now I can agree that this arrangement should start winding down at some point, but I don't think it's fair to act like Israel is parasitizing the US. All of The United States fancy B-2 bombers and 17 billion dollar aircraft carriers and their assorted strike groups are under control of Israel. Trumped handed them over and both Trump and Vance report to Bibi everyday. Hegseth is just happy enough to get to play G.I. Joe with real military equipment and could care less who gives the orders. Fixing the wear and tear they are putting on our equipment will take a decade. We don't have the industry, the ports or the skilled manpower to fix all this shit at the same time.
China isn't strictly speaking a pure command economy. They'd have already collapsed if they were. They have a lot more in common with the National Socialist economy (ironically enough). They still have five year plans and shit like that, but while the government dictates to some extent at least part of what gets done, they largely leave it to private industry to figure out how actually to do it.
The strict Soviet-style command economy is invariably doomed to failure.

Yeah, that's correct. And the national socialist economy was economically centrist. That's why some call it the third position. China doesn't have a command economy and they're not state capitalist either. They're just plain capitalist with certain sectors exclusively ran by the state to either exert control (telecommunications) or get shit done (infrastructure). The Chinese have always been good at infrastructure works when the Hans and minorities aren't busy trying to genocide each other.
