3 pakis that were part of the navy where that navy is a motorboat and no weapons? Idk I zoomed in and watched the slo mo part and I didn't see anything that would say these people are part of the navy. The boat is two water jugs and a bag. Unless that's the navy's fishing department idk if I buy that being the actual navy. There's not even a rifle anywhere in sight on that boat. That's not what I would expect people who's entire job is shooting people to be like.

They were confirmed to be members of the Pakistani coast guard, I refrained from using the term navy because I doubted their actual navy would look like this and upon further searching now see that it was members of their coastal guard.

 
Don't think the one's been posted yet. Little kid gets hit by the train and is punted like a little green football, killed on the spot. According to the article the grandfather and the kids' brother who were in the cab made it with injuries.

Agreed. Unlike a landmine which is indiscriminate and kills whoever triggers it be that enemy combatant or some poor fucker driving his beast of burden over it, a drone-strike is focused and has little collateral damage unless badly aimed.

Or not kill them. I've not seen many videos or reports of people having legs blown off by a drone. Just killed. It's either a complete miss and they're fine or minor wounds, or they just are dead. They don't seem to leave people maimed to the same degree as a mine does. Mostly because half the time the shit they're using is just the explosive from a mine but right to the chest instead of the feet.

Its because bullets, mortars, bombs, etc come at you so quickly you dont really have much time to register what's happening. When you have drones following you around fucking with you, it gives you lots of time to be afraid.

I don't disagree with bullets and missiles. But mortars? Don't they also create the exact same fear? Do they not also have a constant and distinct noise? Do they not also give that same 'oh fuck that nearly hit me' type explosion? Do they not also create a lingering fear that drones do in the same way? They're all fucked. I just don't think that drones are as fucked as people say, just that people underestimate how fucked the other things are.

I think the difference is hope. At least with mortars you might hope you get lucky and they all miss, or stop landing around you, regardless of how likely or not that is.

But some low flying drone just inching towards you, knowing some guy is watching you on a monitor dozens of miles away and has the time to wait for the best moment to kill you and there's nothing you can do but wait for it to happen.

That's what's struck me about these videos that you see now of drone strikes. The targets always seem to have just given up. It's so personal yet impersonal at the same time. Really dystopian stuff.

It's truly terrifying. War has irrevocably changed into drone warfare overnight. Everything else is either obsolete, or being hastily re-evaluated in reference to drone warfare and the new rules of the battlefield.

They're going to be using this kind of stuff when the civil uprisings begin, too.

The tech exists right now to make a swarm of AI-autonomous explosive mini drones that are released into an area, fire and forget. They then use face-recognition to actively search for known / wanted individuals, then kamikaze their heads off when located. Just a for instance of the possible misuse of this tech.

That's without even touching on how fast droid tech is becoming a super-threat.


Imagine rows of 'civil peacekeeper' droids with batons and CS spray nozzles, supported by waves of AI drones being deployed to quell riots - being justified as not putting human officers at unnecessary risk. Much the same way bomb-disposal robots are used instead of risking a soldier's life. And no risk of the ranks deciding that their loyalty is with the people standing up, rather than the govt oppressing them.

It's getting really fckn scary now, with the way the world is sliding so fast into dystopian hell

Brown TCC minors have started acting up again in Turkey. An 8th-grade Turkish kid just shot up his school with 5 guns, for which he had 7 magazines. 4 dead & 20 injured and he killed himself. His dad is apparently a police officer which is where he got his weapons from. Article

He brought the guns in his backpack arriving at the school around 1:45pm, with the shooting happening in at least two classrooms. The 14-year-old shooter is a fat androgynous kid named İsa Aras Mersinli.

At least four people have been killed and several others injured following a shooting at a school in southern Turkey, the local governor has said.

The incident happened at Ayser Calık Secondary School in the Kahramanmaraş area, according to local media reports.

There has been no official confirmation of who has been killed or what has happened to the attacker.

It comes a day after 16 people were injured after an ex-student opened fire at another high school, also in the south of the country, before killing himself.




This comes after yesterday's shittier attack where the shooter only managed to kill himself and injure a bunch of others.

I understand it’s an endless cycle of people asking this question and then people in this thread getting pissed off that people ask this question, but from my own perspective, videos of people dying are just fascinating. I don’t really get a lot of enjoyment out of it, just a morbid curiosity. I don’t like a lot of the blood and guts or torture videos, but third worldsrs getting hit by cars or getting shot by each other does evoke a sort of “damn, they really do just be doing that down there I guess” reaction.

Also seeing various shades of yellow or brown people getting sucked into lathes reminds me to be extra careful at work. These videos also make me confront my own mortality.
