Only reason you go see slop movies like "big monster flips over buildings" is that you know there'll be a CGI budget. I remember watching Agents of SHIELD and they keep talking about all the Marvel heroes, only to afford 15 seconds with Fury in the season 1 finale.

Now imagine a whole show built on CGI monsters. Of course it'll be crap if it ain't sponsored like the new GoT.

I dropped this shitshow the moment I saw those two dykes, and it's good to see I made the right decision. A few minutes of monster scenes (that you can just watch on YouTube anyways) don't justify sifting through hours of shitty, insufferable characters and writing.

I think he's just evolving through the movie. The trailer implies America's dropping another nuke on him and the just make him stronger.
...or the other monsters caves Godzilla it so bad he regenerates into this.

My mind jumped to the Oxygen Destroyer, instead of a nuke.
 
Nice teaser, watching Godzilla walk past the statue of liberty in 1949 NYC is hopefully gonna be awesome. Also, it seems like our hero flying through the falling debris is having a adverse reaction to it, interesting.

Edit: Also, curious how the Americans as possible antagonists is gonna go.

I hope its something like Godzilla 1985, where they're not exactly antagonists but they're chomping at the bit to nuke Godzilla.

looks like godzilla is still the antagonist

i'm guessing since murica didnt do shit in the first movie despite litrully still occupying japan, when godzilla appears again murica will be forced to do something because not doing anything the first time made it look real bad. maybe godzilla shows up in NYC first even

bro looks like he hit the kaiju growth hormone hard in the first shot, and he has some shin aspects in the statue of liberty shot. his arms are a little more shin-like than they were in minus one and some of his scars are red. btw i hope that's not the finished shot, it looks okay but not up to how good the first movie's CGI was

i really like how they are keeping true to the original by godzilla not just stomping and vaporizing people. radiation burns, radiation poisoning, spooky mutation something we got in minus one, and now godzilla (or maybe some other monster) is doing some crazy electromagnetic shit or something that yeah a human body probably shouldn't be around

The scene with the bulkier Godzilla is in the ocean and probably sometime after his first defeat and regeneration. I think the US tries to nuke him again to fully vaporize whatevers left but it just empowers him even more. After all the pre irradiated Godzillasaurus survived the Bikini Atoll testing. I cant really pinpoint where the NYC one would be because it shows the original Minus One design.

I hope they dont reveal much about who the enemy monster is. Everyones speculating Ghidorah but they would either have to keep him an alien or use a new origin. Maybe there are really two Godzillas and an enemy monster and the finale is the Godzillas fighting the new one in NYC. I mean the Godzillasaurus on Odo Island had to have parents or others of its kind somewhere. If the theory holds weight, maybe the other Godzilla looks closer to the original Minus One design because its just been nuked once.
 
There's speculation over on the reddit thread that Noriko turns into another Godzilla and fights the supercharged first version. There were also a few people saying that the doll Akiko is holding is a moth hinting that she might be a shobijin. Anyways lots of possibilities and I also hope they don't spoiler too much of the movie with the trailers. I'm also really hoping the main bad guy is not Ghidorah, having two Godzillas could be really interesting.
