Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

I'd love to know what would happen if the FEC reads this and considers it just as bullshit as we do.
They'll send Frank a cranky letter and fine him a couple hundred dollars, and say "Please do not commit campaign finance fraud again or we will be forced to fine you again".

Could someone explain why one would spend a few thousand dollars to buy equipment for making a campaign video only to then pay a company to make it. Wouldn't they look into something like this? Because to most people this looks like bullshit.

The equipment lasts far longer than the campaign and she doesn't have the skill yet to use it. Also they know it's other people's money, who gives a fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Theft in broad daylight. That shit video of Frank weepily renewing his vows/humanizing Brianna is, sadly, probably enough to justify the spending to the FEC

Watch them turn around and sell this shit, pocketing the cash.

Really wish we could see the actual receipts instead of just "Amazon" and the amount. Like the stuff that's under $20 is probably just shit for their dogs.

Hildebrand appears to be his last name. He turned into a troon sometime around 2015, and is a father.

He's talking as if he's a real woman mistreated by sexism.
The Aspergers must be strong in that one.

Sweet Jesus it bred? What the fuck? This is beyond horrifying.

He looks like Peter Griffin's head placed on Quagmire's body combined with Joe Swanson's tendency to be completely dependent on others.

I mentioned eBay in my last comment and decided to check out Wu's seller feedback.

She's sold a lot clothes / motorcycle jackets and pants in wildly varying sizes. She's also auctioned character naming rights for other people's books. How weird. No further comment. It's just weird. "Hey Corey D! Want to make some quick scratch? Let's sell naming rights for a cool $150!"

Lol there's not going to be a female doctor who, the BBC have already confirmed that.

And if you look at any fans of doctor who, both male and female, say they don't want a female doctor who and it will just ruin the programme. The only ones wanting a female doctor who are the ones who sperg that every male role needs to be replaced with a female counterpart.

At some point in the next year, Wu is going to have to gather her 2000 signatures to get on the primary ballot, without which she'll be even more of a joke candidate than she is now.

Naturally the best way to do that would be to make a database of all the people you've reached out to during the fundraising process as likely candidates. As long as you have 3-400% of the total people needed in your database of already engaged people, you could be pretty sure of hitting your numbers. So far, Wu has had 100-odd people from MA donate to her, many of whom from a casual survey don't even live in the targeted district.

I'm guessing Wu will probably go down the route of just paying for the signatures, which anyone can see is a stupid approach since all the activities you have to get signatures for the ballot are also the same activities you have to do to get people to vote for you in the primary. It's the very Wu approach though; it's lazy, and gives a veneer of faux populism. Ideal. At a very minimum, it'll cost her 10K bucks though. Given that Wu seems to enjoy spending all her campaign money on toys and travel, there may not be any money left over for that.

I wonder if this whole campaign is just going to peter out when the cosplaying portion is over, and the real work begins. She's already obviously pretty disillusioned that the vast sums of money she was expecting didn't magically materialise so that she could hire her lackeys and play the big important political mogul. There's only so long you can go on pretending you can actually win when every visible metric suggests you're going to fail miserably.

Not to mention a lot of the people who want a female doctor probably don't watch the show in the first place

Fucking hell this says it all, my fucking sides. Money well spent, eh folks? It would be terrible if this information were to become heavily publicised!

EDIT: Couple of takeaways from the expenditures here. First off it looks like Frank has been able to skim a little off the top to the tune of about $3,200, consisting of almost a third of total spending. The great state of California is now more than $1,000 richer because obviously there are tons of MA District 8 folks living on the other side of the fucking country, and shout out to Emerge America who succeeded in snagging $550 of that tranny scam cash. Nearly all the rest of it went to two companies that were hired to do the fucking two minute campaign video which nobody other than lurkers in this thread watched.

All in all, looks like a GREAT campaign!

"Briannu Wu"?

  • The Shangri-La Restaurant of Los Gatos, CA is apparently somewhere you go to meet voters for a congressional election in Massachusetts.
  • Wu flew United (never again, etc.) to SF for a "fundraising trip".
  • The candidate training was in SF too.
  • She stayed at two different hotels in MA (neither of which was in the 8th district); one was claimed under expenses for a campaign speech (?) and the other for more training (?!), which isn't mentioned anywhere else in the document.
What happened to keeping Mass dollars in the Mass economy? That's like 1/3 of his talking points :(

Because it's a scam for John to spend other people's money to buy toys for himself.

I'm going to wait for the CSV files to come online before I do analysis of the donors, but here are a few more interesting things I noticed from the expenditures:
- John's trip to California was 6/6 to 6/12, yet he only booked the flight on 6/5. Obviously there was nobody planning for him to be there, and he didn't have any kind of meetings scheduled. I'm surprised a last-minute flight to San Francisco was only $750.
- Why did he book most of his hotels through Expedia, but then book one night at the Quality Inn separately? Did he forget what days he was going to be in California, and come up one short?
- His average hotel room cost $250/night, apart from the Quality Inn which was more like $120.
- It's also interesting that John didn't expense every molecule of food that passed his lips this time. Did someone tell him how tacky that is?
- For the "candidate training" sessions in Massachusetts, John booked single-night stays at hotels in Worcester and Marlborough, which are about 45 and 30 miles from Arlington. (I forget where they live now but it's around there, right?) Why didn't John just commute there in his hot rod rather than spending all that money? I mean, he totally has a driver's license so there's nothing stopping him, right?

Also, not sure if anyone already dropped the link, but here's the video production company for the "Frank In Love" ad:
http://www.runawaypenproductions.com/

EDIT: also, looks like Frank tapped his sci-fi connections to land another $500 donor, James Daugherty of Henderson, Nevada.

EDIT2: and, it looks like the "meeting" at Shangri-La Chinese was probably 4ish people, based on their prices: http://www.shangrilalosgatos.com/menu/
Maybe 3 people if they got a bunch of side orders, or 5 if they didn't tip ;)
