Not everything constitutes "legal advice." For instance, they'll always advise against firing your lawyer and acting as your own.

And if they think you're mentally defective and you're about to do something pants-on-head retarded, like Nick did, sometimes they'll pop up like Clippy and say "I see you're trying to fuck yourself in the ass. Are you sure you want to do that?" Nick is actually so clearly out of his mind and brain-damaged at this point he's now getting some of the tard armor someone like Greer gets.

Not really. If anything, the medical profession is even more corrupt. It's a guild and its purpose is to protect insiders. It's practically impossible to get a doctor struck off even after they kill a dozen patients because they were drunk off their ass.

There are some real horror stories about the levels of incompetence and malice doctors have to commit to get kicked out for good. Look at Dr. Kathy "the Butcher of Ardmore" Rumer, notoriously incompetent tranny surgery quack.

Assuming he did the very bare minimum of at least talking to Fatrick for a couple of minutes he'd likely be fine. There's plenty of precedent out there for Doctor's providing bullshit diagnoses with minimal actual diagnosis on their part.

Even if he's not, why is he present for any discussion of Melton's non-attendance? Melton's case is not his case, why is he privy to any discussions as to Melton's case?

IMO, the other serious danger in that was to Dr. Steve. If Nick said the wrong things on the stand or said something just a little wrong he could have opened Dr. Steve up to HIPAA violations. Going on the stand to witness what a doctor told you about someone else and their medical condition is a real potential minefield for the doctor. The ethics of the medical profession are often garbage. But they will string medical people up for HIPPA violations if there is good evidence. And there isn't much better evidence than sworn testimony under oath.

It did very much come across in last night's insanity that Nick wants to represent himself in the case. Or at least be treated by the judge as if he were an attorney in the case. He wanted to be invited into chambers with the attorneys (good luck with that) to talk with the judge. He asked the judge in the courtroom himself for a recess.

The other upcoming disaster for Nick is his desire to testify at the HRO trial. He doesn't seem to understand that its a bench trial and the target of the HRO acting up like a child when cross-examined is a very bad idea. I don't think he has an obligation to even testify at the trial and honestly if he were sane, he would probably not.

It has to be his overwhelming urge to act in a "legalistic" manner as he is a virtually disbarred lawyer. He's not allowed to make motions as a professional.
If Francis White and Private Pyle had dicks, they'd drop Rekieta for endangering their practice's reputation.
