Mega Rad Gun Thread

It and the AR-57 uppers are perfect examples of “just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should” in the firearms industry.
Look, someone needs to build stupid shit so that Ian McCollum III has something to review on Forgotten Weapons in 2126.

Nevada Boomer's back with another neighbor gat

Lorcins are so terrible (they are what most people think every Saturday night special is like) but I've always liked their lines. Something about the visual design just works for me.

If I ever find one that's not too beat up for 50 bucks or so I'll buy it as a fun paperweight.

Back before the subcompact 9mm boom, Jennings, Raven and Lorcin(and every other name they used) were still considered an option if you polished the feed ramp.
The .25 models still sucked though.

if you squint it looks like a squished hardballer from No Big Deal on Roblox lmao

because of that these SNSs seem kind of stuck in time, stuck in the 80s/90s. Not like a stereotypical "oh look i saw that tec9/uzi/.45 mac in Miami Vice" way, but as guns that were used back then and treated like nothing special while they stick out now. kinda like those stainless all steel S&W semiautos or the Ruger P89. it's pretty interesting to consider.

I got my Lima 6 upper yesterday, shot it today after work and it was light strike city in semi auto. Super disappointing, I think its just because its packed full of grease. I should've just cleaned it first so it is kinda my bad. Should have an update tomorrow
Praying it runs amazing in FRT mode.

I saw a bumper sticker that read, "Guns kill people, save the kids". Why does the Anti-Gun crowd blame Gun Owners for the death of children?
I don't even know if it's an actual belief anymore as much as it is a political talking point to be parroted. It used to be that Anti-Gunners believed that we actively enable crazies and gangs to purchase guns if not through loosening regulation in one state but by sharing borders with jurisdictions that heavily regulate them(see: Illinois blaming all of its neighbors causing it being a massive, rowdy zoo) despite out of state sales being even more regulated when done legally.
But they represent it from the perspective that, even though there are many laws on the books already which are constantly broken purposely or even without knowing, one more law will fix it and are trying to guilt trip people who have nothing to do with it in order to pass it. Repeat ad nausea/infinitum.

Ladies an Gentlespergs, I have a question - At the moment I am looking for a good Spring powered (not PCP) Air Pistol this isn't for hunting, self defence or anything like that just target shooting at targets and I have a old 2000's era Webley Tempest in .177 and it's fun but I'd like a new pistol an some variation in the weapon. Does anyone have recommendations?

I'm perusing .45 colt load data and for a lot of the 300 gr loads they cite the projectile as "300gr Flat Point (Lake City)" what is this? Why would lake city be making 300gr .45 projectiles? I can't search it on google because all i get returns for is 300gr projectiles from various manufacturers or the very same data I'm looking at.

Now, it doesn't really matter, I've used the data with other 300gr projectiles all ready but this is just nagging at me.

Senator Holden Bloodfeast is worried the Apache are getting uppity again.

So I just bought a Hammerli H1 1911-22 on impulse because $199 and immediately set out to white-trash it up (as is tradition)...

How do we convince @Null to do a batch of custom KF-logo engraved 1911 grips for a small merch run? There are a million for sale and lots of CnC templates available so they can't cost that much to make. I'm surprised no online generator exists - hell I found a custom pillowcase generator for the Styx thread several months ago but nothing exists for 1911 grips while a bazillion are for sale on Amazon, eBay and AliExpress?

Anyway something like this but fancier.

It does have some chonky Ruger charm, and definitely makes an excellent paperweight. If you want to shoot something similar, just get a Hi-Point.

I actually found a seller (KSD grips, apparently operating out of Turkey) on Amazon that did custom grips and had them make these (with custom medallions/inlays from an image I sent them) for my 84BB and was pretty happy with the results, especially at the price they charged. They also sold custom engraved grips without medallions:

Side note: that burl walnut is even prettier in person.

Sadly, they're no longer available via Amazon but they're still selling online. It's worth noting that their current website looks sketchy as shit, so I'd use a one-time credit card number if you order from there.

If Hi-Point can make the Yeet Cannon there's no reason Kiwi Farms can't make the Jeet Cannon!

[Thanks I'll be here all week!]

You goys ever feel like selling everything except for like three pieces?
I still like guns, but I just don't really seem to care anymore.
I can't see myself cutting down to three ARs, lol. Do you not have shooting buddies to do drills with, etc.? If not, you should find some.
