They send you to a mental facility to be kept and treated until you are considered "fit to stand trial." THEN, they'll charge your ass for the crime.

His original "crime" was abusing emergency calls. Was that really a crime that he should have been kept in jail for?
Previous to that, he had many violent convictions. One was for armed robbery that he served 5 years for.
There's nothing we can do here when the state didn't take his parents' pledges seriously. It was a freak criminal act that only got big because a paedophile posted the snuff film online.
