"Being sold as an artwork with NO ORIGINAL INTENT TO INFRINGE COPYRIGHT. All similarities are coincidental or otherwise parodic."

That should get you off the hook. I mean, it works for Christian, so you're totally in the clear to make tens of thousands on your original idea. Now shut up and take my money!

I must say, I think if Christian saw these concepts in particular, he would absolutely lose his fucking mind. Because not only would someone be attempting to make a profit on his TRUE and HONEST creation, but they'd be doing so with good products. Artistic designs superior to his own. In other words, an idea he wished he had thought of.
well done.

I'm sure there's plenty of money to be made off of Sonichu in the hands of anyone BUT Chris.

Would it be useful to have a thread on here to curate links to fan-made Sonichu merchandise, for those of us who don't have $1,000s to invest in an original Chandler? There are some nice t-shirts I've seen, and with the advent of 3D printing I may one day sip an absinthe frappé through my very own Oversized Red Drinking Straw of Fail.

Or would such a thread be swiftly lock'd?
Chris should invest in a 3D printer. Then he can make MULTIPLES of any lego piece he needed. Then we can have the makerbot "saga" and a chance for him to burn down the rental house :alog:. Who am I kidding, 3D printing is work and takes practice and Chris doesn't do the 'W' word and everything he does is perfect on the first try.

And is there any chance Something Awful will catch wind of this because surely someone here is from SA or knows someone who is from SA. It could make for a great comedy goldmine or photoshop priday.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but there's no chance in hell SA would ever make fun of Chris.

Pants-shitting tranny autistics who live with mommy, blame the world for their shitty lot in life, and blow their disability paychecks on digital doo-dads are SA's prime demographic.

There is a very large Lolcow community out there that might be willing to buy things if they were available in the first place.

I'd love to see a page or website offring some Sonichu and Sonichu based products for sale, if only because Chris would flip his lid if he knew about them. Even just a store site dedicated to lolcow merchandise in general would be nice.

Think of it! An online mall store selling artwork, replica relics of fail, and t-shirts with quotes from your favorite cows. Heck, it can even sell products from fan based stuff like Asperchu. I'd buy it all.

Despite his CADD certificate, Chris has severe problems with scale and perspective. If he did attempt to make legos on a 3D printer, none of the pieces would contain a right angle, no two pieces would be the same, and none of them would be a solid color--they'd all have stripes, or maybe a sweet tomgirl pattern that da ladies would find sexy.

No, CWC 3D printer legos are NOT a good idea.

Agreed.

Also, if he'd been able to maintain a deviantART account, I can see him having something resembling a healthy online social life among the Sonic fans. Some of the horrifically untalented Sonic artists and recolourers out there have 300,000+ page views on dA.

Somehow, I get the feeling that Lego pieces wouldn't be the first things Chris would make with a 3D printer. AUGH YEAH :tomgirl:

He doesn't play well with others. We usually seat him at the back of the class, turned the other way round so he's facing the wall.

There are ready made STL files of thousands of lego pieces, but I agree with you and will stop 3D printer sperging. I REALLY WANT ONE myself since I also have a CADD and 3D modeling background.
