Which kind of ties into TK’s million pity sob story. The moral compass, or lack of, that these people possess, is best judged by when they’re active. When they’re given every incentive to do the right thing, being constantly reminded of what they’re potentially dragging their family into, yet they refuse to stop.
They get the luxury of seeing people just like them fuck up their lives beyond all repair, and they just refuse to stop regardless.
The sob story rings profoundly hollow in this light. It’s almost like they’re hardwired to be this way and it isn’t some ‘social’ thing or trauma coping mechanism. They enjoy it and that’s more important to them than their Mother or children or spouse.
Perhaps the most sinister mindset I’ve encountered is the degenerates who frame their perversion and interest in crush porn as a means of making money which will benefit their children. Basically using their kids as a sort of figurative human shield that they believe will lend their whacking it to dead animals an air of nobility. It really makes them feel better to drag their children into it.
None of these people are winning at life, they’re fuck ups of the worst imaginable kind. The rest is just documenting it. When the worlds ready to look, the lid will already be lifted.
