With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

I do regret not keeping up with the show, night shift job into layoff really limited my ability to keep up with all the action. Clips and bits were a lot of fun, though! Still like S1 and 2 best simply due to being able to watch them, but 5 had a lotta fun stuff too.

I for one do not share the opinion of some on this thread, that simping ruins it. I also enjoy the casual negative feelings for certain fish. I for one hate Landon and thrive off his suffering, but I'll simp for my boy Bash and support Mei's lovequest. I like the sense of community on the farms and the reminder that there is a diversity among fans. The thread would be boring and gay if it was all just informative :informative: posts. Takes/hot takes are a huge part of the thread and website in general.

I will say the repetitiveness of it, I understand the annoyance, and I agree, particularly post-season when there's nothing current to react to. But Landon is still in the house because the faggot won't leave, so my hatesperging shall continue~

If I remember right, it's also because they kept getting snitch messages, and production had no way to filter them.
 
I'm inclined to disbelieve Bezo (he is fucking Bezo), but there is a chance some of what he's saying is true. Production may well have pulled him aside to talk about the swatting. Some or all of it was definitely directed at him. But did they specifically ask him to leave? I doubt it. His story doesn't explain the TTS mentioning his boyfriend's name. He doesn't address that at all in the video.

I wonder if Production will address this.

For a second with that Thumbnail I thought it was Milkmoder.

I doubt that's the full story, but probably very close to it. I suspected something like this when we started getting info on the Swattings and all of them were targeting Bezos. I kinda feel like Ben and Jet would of put up with it if the rentacop stopped them from having to shut down the show for each one. I would guess it was more that they gave Bezos an out he took rather than directly kicked him, but it could be true. That or he wanted to quit over the shit he was getting, and they made him blame it on family emergency so the swatters didn't learn they could get people off the show by swatting them.

Edit, it could be too that he didn't want his Internet shit fucking over the show and self eliminated, however I think he would have lead with that if it were the case.

Either way, massive Landon L. The Ghost Community isn't the just toxic on the Internet, it wasn't even the most toxic in that season.

That may be what he really said and the posters synopsis is a little off, I'm not going to listen to him talk because he's insufferable, and will just trust OP

Still easily the worst Fish this season, probably ever. He's like Beth, where they obviously fantasize about themselves being Frank Hassle in their own torture house. They both came in real hot acting like it was the final week, not understanding the big picture of Fishtank and thinking the show is just Hellhouse. Almost no chance he would have made it to the third week, he probably would have been the first person they got Drake to physically dominate to eliminate.

Bashir too took the first week to aggressively, and earned his elimination. However, that wasn't all there was too him, and he seemed to realize that before he got the bullet. Him getting to come back was almost like a baptism that made him a better Fish, but don't share that analogy with him.

I can tell you right now, James Drake is objectively good looking, but I feel no attraction to him. Attraction isn't just based on someone being hot.

Also, are Landon and Vimp still there?

The thing about Drake is that he has aspirations of being in front of the camera, when in actuality his strengths are more in the realm of production. Somehow he's able to rustle up the permits, money and semi-professional crew for his well-made if unoriginal and hammy low-budget films. If anything, the wiggers should get him on the team to assist with making their shows. Just think about how he would come across making pitches to property owners and possible financiers compared to Jet and Ben. He's got drive, organization and charisma even if he couldn't think up an original or entertaining show idea on his own.

I think that it would require compromises neither side would be willing to make, though. Jet and Ben with giving up control of the things they suck at and lack follow through on, and Drake on his dreams of being a star.
