"A distinguishing feature of histrionic patients lies in the emphasis they place in their personality, interactional manner, and dress for the transmission of sexual signals. This amounts to a type of self-dramatization through sexuality. Histrionic patients will often seem to exaggerate culture-bound gender symbols. In men and women this can take two disparate forms but with an underlying common theme: the dramatic highlighting of sexual stereotypes.
In histrionic men one such form is the hypermasculine "cowboy." This contrasts with the effeminate "interior decorator" type. In histrionic woman one form is the hyperfeminine "charming hostess," which contrasts with the masculine "boardroom director" type"
"The male patient, on the other hand, is inclined to portray himself in the roles of hero, clown, or "macho," using some distortion of fact."
"Male histrionic patients may also complain of headaches, back pain, gastrointestinal disturbances, and other somatic symptoms. Frequently, histrionic patients possess the fantasy that they have a disorder that is beyond the ken of ordinary physicians. They will often resort to herbal remedies and alternative medical practices in the belief that their physical distress will only respond to an unconventional or exotic treatment."
I'd read through the whole thing for a good top kek.
Most interestingly is that Darksydephil has been commented as looking like Ricky Gervais from "The Office". Ricky's counterpart in the US version of the show (Michael Scott) is actually a frequently cited exampled of someone with HPD:
Another look at Michael Scott/HPD:

considering the internet drastically effects any diagnosis, its easy to look at michael scott as what DSP would be like if he somehow landed a middle-management job and wasnt confined to using the internet on a day to day basis. Michael Scott is a good example of a male HPD as it usually presents more in females than males. especially since he doesn't display the 'seductive' trait.
