I havent looked into this at all, but some Rust streamer (imPheetus) claims he got banned from twitch for impersonating Jason.
[...]

That thread pisses me off, bunch of turbo retards on that subreddit.
Far as I can tell, we don't know why he was suspended, we don't know what reason Twitch gave (usually something really vague like "harassment"), we don't fucking know anything. A moronic streamer reading a message from another moronic streamer isn't proof of anything.

People are saying he's been imitating Jason for a while now, insinuating he has sex with ferrets etc, live on stream. Well if so, that's bannable, retards! You don't get a 7 day suspension for nothing!

And unless any of you have more information on this from Discord, there's absolutely no reason to think Jason had anything to do with it whatsoever. But TWO LSF threads on this have run their course and half the people in there seem to think he personally contacted Dan fucking Clancy to get this guy a week's suspension, based on NOTHING. X is pretty much the same, as you'd expect, with half of them shitting on Twitch because they're intellectually borderline, mouthbreathing fucking animals who read "streamer banned for doing an impression" and IMMEDIATELY BELIEVED IT.

1/3 of the problem is Twitch not being transparent about this stuff, presumably for legal/liability reasons, though who really knows why.
1/3 LSF mods being useless retards who can't enforce their own rules like NO UNFOUNDED ALLEGATIONS IN THREAD TITLES.
1/3 fucking stupid fucking people everywhere.

Rant over. It'll be funny if I'm wrong about all of this!

EDIT: THEY'VE FUCKING REMOVED IT NOW?! LSF mods do this shit all the time: they wait hours, sometimes days, then remove a thread just so they can say they're enforcing their rules.

So I was randomly scrolling through Kick when this caught my eye:

I'm thinking, huh? Is this a random person restreaming Twitch? Because, I thought he hated Kick because of gambling and it's not a competitor to twitch because it uses the same backend or something, and there's people who stream movies and shows on it.

Huh. Partner on Kick. Interesting. Maybe I was misremembering?

Oh. I wasn't. Insane Behavior dude.

Meanwhile in the EU parliament, a certain mold man is spotted.

TOTAL Jason Maldivious Faggotree Hall Death ! Absolute Ross moldman Scott Victory.

Love my nigga Ross, I feel like his presentation was really well done. I think GAS (teehee) will go away as the attention and money between players is stretched too thin. For example, I love battlefield 6 but I haven’t played it in forever because A. Crimson desert and B. The fomo shit they do like every other shooter annoys and turns me off from wanting to play. I feel alot of people will feel that way, they can’t keep up with every single fucking live service game; the bubble will burst and I think it’s starts with Ross’ SKG project. Good shit mr funny freeman man

ROSS IN A FUCKING SUIT!

Also hope this is a lil shine of light towards not only EU but other regions to consider the SKG as whole.

But this is at least the best win because knowing jason it's seething & dilating hard from the consequences of his narc industry plant hecta doubling downs.

KEEP RAPING FERRETS JASON! KEEP RAPING EM!

I will never not laugh upon hearing "vile enemy Maldavious Figtree". A dastardly little piano riff plays in my head every time.

I don't think they'll go away, but I think between the fatigue in player bases and now this pending legal action, they'll stop being the EVERYTHING MUST BE THIS game project. Same as Tactical/Competitive FPS's, same as MOBA's, same as MMO's, just to step back over a few of the industries past darlings that didn't pan out. They'll not go away, and there will still be tentative steps into the space from time to time with games that 'make sense' to explore it, but gone will be the days of just throwing projects at the wall demanding a full live service forever game plan.

What I'm more curious to see is where they'll go next. Their internal processes are too ignorant or ideologically captured to see much success cultivating ideas, and Indies are eating their lunch there and giving them an increasingly worse reputation for being stale in the process. Buying up indie successes doesn't really work, as they pay a premium for an IP that's already made most of its money, then launder it through their fucked processes for a full AAA dev cycle to try and make a bigger success, only to flop hard when the indie dev and indie game simply doesn't scale, at all. In times past, the industry has simply waited for someone else to accidentally strike it big with a new idea and then copied it, but none of them are really capable of that ideation anymore.

Might be the major players keep struggling against eastern studios, and are forced to adapt as a result. Crimson Desert isn't everyones cup of tea, but it has continued to feed fuel into the discussion that started back with Baldurs Gate 3, that players are starting to raise expectations of games, and aren't interested in buying the same shit over again. BG3 did it for its quality of content, CD is doing much of the same for the sheer quantity of content and the pace of support work.
