Mega Rad Gun Thread

None other than Fabrique Nationale are planning to bring a Holographic MRDS onto the market. They are explicitly and continually using the term Holographic in their marketing.

Now here's the rub, 800 hour battery life, but FN claims up to one year with "battery saving mode" and it has a light sensor.

Now this is a clear indicator to me that FN is spinning up an Electrooptics division

I guess I could see it on a competition gun or for actual doorkickers since they won't be the ones replacing batteries consumed at that rate. I would not be super keen on that rate of consumption on an actual carry gun.

anyone know where I can find some glock 27 lower stl files I've been able to find 26's but no 27's unless im retarded and there backwards compatible I'm working on a full glock build with aftermarket parts and just need a lower frame I can print ideally one with a picatanny for a light

I may have gone overboard white-trashing this one out. Before you see the pic here's what we're working with: Canik SFx Rival with original 5" barrel swapped with a 6" threaded barrel meant for a Mete SFx (clearance $25). Added a bright red FRT (clearance $75), high-force recoil spring ($20) and of course a CVLife optic with CVLife blacked out in Sharpie and still covered in shame. ProMag 50rd drum meant for a TP9 and probably the most legit piece - an official Canik 26rd mag ordered from Canik with the spring. I found the Baldr S in a box a couple months ago and can't remember where it came from but I have a holster that holds anything wearing it so hey free holster! If there was a mullet and tactical wife-beater available it would be rockin' those too.

Just dropped $500 on some more reloading supplies. 8 pounds of various powders and 1000 .38/.357 158gr round nose bullets.

I refuse to suffer through the next shortage.
How do you store your powder?

Powder does have a shelf life which can be severely reduced due to a couple of things. The 2 biggest are temperature cycling and humidity. Stored in a cool dry place it will last for 20 years. Stored in a garage in Florida it will last 5. And that is depending on the powder. Anything put out by General Dynamics (Alliant) and St. Marks Powder (everything sold by Hodgdons) is good. I have heard of issues with some of the import powders, especially European stuff.

Easiest way to check if a powdered has gone off is if you don’t smell ether when you open the can.

I keep it in my cabins living room which doubles as the reloading room.

Edit: and most like all this stuff gets shot up in just a few years

You goys ever feel like selling everything except for like three pieces?
I still like guns, but I just don't really seem to care anymore.

I used to have about 65 firearms of various styles in my old collection. Some were ones I had gotten from my dad as gifts growing up, some I had inherited, and some I had bought myself. I sold most of them to make ends meet when I was unemployed and because I was facing various personal struggles and had just lost my passion for guns. Now I regret selling them and wish I could have found a way to keep them, especially the more sentimental guns like my Winchester 94s and old Colt New Service, or the more interesting ones like the vintage S&W N Frame magnums I had.

I say hang on to them if you can. Only sell if you absolutely have to in order to make ends meet. Even if you're not feeling the spark now, one day that will change and you will regret letting them go.

I occasionally get this bug, but then I remember the feeling of 'I want it back' I got after selling my first gun and the bug fades. Also selling them is what the grabbers want and I won't give them anything out of principle.

Also also, our guns are what makes each individual American a bona-fide King or Queen.
Our guns are what separates us from serfs and swordless peasants; and a king doesn't go and sell his armory when he gets bored from peace. If anything, he goes and uses it to spice things up a little.

i don't know a goddamned thing about caniks but the guys at battlefield vegas seem to know a thing or two about them.
"That staff is pretty amazed at how well the TP9's have handled the abuse. Everybody was pretty sure they would be done in a few weeks but they KEEP pushing through and we've yet to have one fail. IMHO, after seeing how many rounds go through our TP9's and how cheap we purchased them for.. they have to be the best bang of the buck."

i've never heard anyone talk shit on a canik pistol. they must either live like necrons silently enjoying their solid handgun or make power plays like our friend with his meth muncher 9000

A whole entire post dedicated to nothing but photos of ASVK/KSVK Anti material rifles, the best looking AMR's around, if you don't like KSVK's, then fuck you.
