I was checking lmgjet.com and saw that Linus went with his jet to Pitt Greenvile airport today. Out of curiosity and because I was doing nothing I searched if there was any camera of the airport and looks like the first camera of this site is right on Linus plane.


Unfortunately the feed is way too low quality to confirm by the tail registration but the jet looks like a Dassault Falcon 900B

Watched the video and it looks like he bought a fixer upper out in the boonies. The barn has already been ruined with a dubious extension and is falling apart from lack of maintenance, the pool is a frog sanctuary and is likely cheaper to fill in than fix, and the house needs a new roof. If you're a YouTube dingleberry and think you can monetize the hell out of it to pay for the repairs while writing off costs as a "business expense", that isn't the worst thing in the world to do. Depending on circumstance you would be a fucktard not to do it.

Jake didn't hate the fact that it was being done, he was seething that it was Linus buying the house instead of him since he saw himself as the main talent.
 
Jake seems to have realized our tax systems (US/Canada) are currently very friendly towards mid-to-high income earners who are able to structure their incomes and run their inflow/outflow through some sort of business. The joke from early YouTube about "putting your car in a video so it's a tax write-off" is just reality now. Linus is a master of this, his balance sheets spread across 8-12 shell companies that hit the perfect thresholds to get government subsidies while also paying each-other for services to shield the maximum amount of profit.

Which is not even really a critique because it's what you should do, Jake just has to realize that if he plans to turn his life into a never-ending sponsored post he will 100% burn out.

The man couldn't split a log. If he is trying to be any sort of homesteader or handyman then he has bigger problems than burnout. Namely absolute incompetence. Completely renovating a house isn't something you just do, let alone one with issues like a fucking old farmhouse is going to have. It's going to end up mcmansion groverhaus tier if you do not know what you're doing or an absolute bottomless money sink if you pay people to do everything you can't. The sort of skills that you'd get from fucking around with computers is fine, yea you'll be good enough at things to make a wacky computer and deal with retarded plumbing and electrics for it, but that's not what he'd be using every day and it's not what he lives in. Maybe he can solder a pipe well enough to not instantly leak for the hour or two they film before it's disassembled and never touched again, can he do that for something that will be used every single day for years and will cause thousands in damages if it is even slightly imperfect?

Foundation can be saved, roof can be replaced but kept the same, but I hate those concepts he posted of the gay ass work area upstairs and even those outdoor renderings where it just looks corporate and soulless, yet to his fucking Leaf Ass he thinks it's stylish. Pool seems pointless with the weather up there. I guess I just really got more annoyed with his quirk chungus fat ass because he's doing the little plea of "I bit off way more than I can chew so please help me out with consuming product!" Just work on one part and show you can do it or care enough to continue, but he's got all these retarded Lienus levels of delusion like when the Labs was being built. I mean sure, at the end of the day he's still a soy faggot consoomer and the only thing productive he even did in the video was his sponsor shit, and was focused on moving in a pile of 3d printers and some random NAS and network bullshit for no fucking reason while the place is undergoing renovation and needing to be fucking gutted so there's going to be dust and bullshit everywhere. But like I said, he's got the opportunity to do better than Linus and for an audience that would normally be afraid of swinging a hammer.

That pool is a literal money pit. His other renovations will at least increase the value of the house/property, but even a brand new pool doesn't increase the value and limits protentional home buyers.

I don't know anyone who has or had a pool who would recommend it. Even if you ignore the costs you end up spending as much time cleaning the damn thing as you do actually using it.
