With good reason. You literally had near limitless options to choose from here, even characters that might be out of time thanks to Trazyn's bullshit. A real alien xeno maybe. A proper CSM that isnt Ularon (or loyalist CSM). A Tau. Maybe, for shit and giggles, a necron, even. Creed himself. A fucking Ork freeboota. If it must be Admech, then a skitarii is also on the cards.

Why another techpriest? This isnt Mechanicus 2.

The hatred for AoS has a brand and universe is valid.

But that being said, that range has taken on a life of its own and many of them are OW worthy. Darkwater as a game may be sloppa but the models are a clear sign they got the message.

All excluding the Stormcast and the token niggers in Cities of Sigmar (that range is begging to be kitbashed into Border Princes), everything else is solid aesthetically, the new Nurgle stuff in particular is such a dramatic course-correction, it’s hard to think it came from GW.
 
Alot of the Stormcast models and the demon models for AOS are downright inspired, but some of the Ork models look kinda goofy and more armored than 40k Orks while their replacements for dwarves are either goofy and retarded (Kharadon) or just too reliant on a single gimmick (Fyreslayers) The entire Cities of Sigmar range also has some fucking ugly scuplts with some characters being passable to good. Most of the Elf types are also pretty cool

Yeah, for once I'm on the forums' side. Even if this guy is bringing some really new and interesting mechanics to the table, all I'm seeing here is a huge missed opportunity to add something wild and unexpected. A Necron companion was probably too much to hope for, but they had so many other choices and we're just getting another unorthodox techpriest instead.

Damn can a nigga get an orthodox tech priest? It'd actually shake things up to get an intolerantly strict adherent to the rules than whatever bullshit they keep cooking up. I guess that would require actually thought and effort, because if he didnt break rules then you'd actually have to write interesting scenarios and work arounds for his religious tenants instead of "SHHHH, dont tell the fabricator general! (Wink)."

I am disappointed and dissatisfied. The “no xenos” attitude is genuinely disgraceful and disheartening. The game wanted to be Dark Heresy from the start and here, shying away from what a Rogue Trader is at the end? Disappearing into the night and fading? Solomorne is a wet blanket but at least he’s unlike what we already had, genuinely disgraceful that the company of a negrosexual is preferable the disastrous fat bastard who is ugly. Most disgusting.

Fun book. Cawls a fun character, and I liked having the Scythes around. Didn't realise the exact reason they got buttfucked was because they were retarded semi-noble dorks who cared for their human population and got hoodwinked. That's what you get, you silly cunts.
They've still got one of my favorite schemes, and they're on the long list of shit to get around too one day.

Alpha Primus was kinda dumb though. Very dumb, actually. I dont care for this character much at all. Idk how much more of a role he plays in Cawl's material but I hope it's little.

Also new Jumpack chaplain. Ive been avoiding painting Lemartes because I hate his stupid open skull mouth, looks like this fella is gonna get pieced out. Looks sick as fuck tho tbqhfamalam.

You know, looking at the Heretek…….. I can see the Ralphian shape. Though the Ralph role is filled by the advisor (the fat one) who creeps on Jae.
