Yes, that is indeed how most people would see this character. I did so as well while looking at the cover and some panels, until I learned more context behind it.
Many girls back then probably started reading it as a cute angel girl X brooding human guy romance story, without having a slightest idea about the bizzare messages like "if you aren't girly enough, perhaps you are a genderless reincarnated angel uke boy".

Why is the west industry so fixated on making new shows of Scooby Doo over, over and over again? For the record I had no idea the first part was a thing but like a lot of those me too era claims for every legitimate one there's bound to be a case of cry wolf or two. Now if they happen to be true my sympathy for woods will be retracted...but belive evidence first. Especially if these allegations line up with when woods started going based, I call bs on at least the one that took 8 years and especially since the mom supposedly knew woods was doing that.
That being said I thought space Jam 2 lover was some bot account made to astroturf space jam 2 that never got deactivated once that plan failed so it then became a generic animation news reposting account but no. A human I avle to replicate a bot almost perfectly with how bland and geneic it is half the time but then it goes and says stuff like the James Woods hate.
