It must be something about having leniency with certain criminals, while being too harsh towards others - mainly "thought criminals".
Maybe because these online amateur catchers botch convictions like law enforcement agencies have been saying?

I don't see many cops saying that anymore. 10 years ago, all of them were annoyed with PCs, but now a lot of them seem to be fans. They recognize Pred Poachers a lot of times that I've seen.

Alex is generally pretty good at avoiding that. Sure, maybe most of the chat logs wind up being inadmissible in court as nobody on his team is law enforcement, but when he [typically] actually gets the accused to admit [in front of the cops] that they have CSAM on their device and interacted with who they believed to be was a minor, that's pretty much slam dunk PC [probable cause] to seize at least the device in question, if not everything they have, and potentially PC for a search warrant of both home and vehicle. Which will usually result in at the very least a CSAM conviction, even if nothing comes of the actual 'contact with a fake minor' part of the case, or intent to meet said fake minor. He also usually has the accused bring something with them, just as Chris Hansen once did [a pizza, a six pack of beer, etc.] to prove intent - i.e they can't claim that it was someone else using their account, they said they'd show up with a six-pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and he showed up with it, ergo this was definitely him using this account.
He's stated on a few catches he knows which states, sometimes down to the counties, will take what evidence. He's also been able to lure preds to alternate counties/cities/police jurisdictions he knows will arrest and take evidence and have the decoy get them to incriminate themselves, either via chat logs or meeting up, in that location so the PD can't shirk it off onto the ones less likely to take it seriously. On more recent catches even with other PP teams, I've seen police a little hesitant to work with them until Alex/Mike/Aaron/Sam explain who they are and that they DO NOT condone or work with DAP. Then it's all sunshine and rainbows with the coppers.
