Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

They really need to stop using the Inquisitors. They are such useless characters. They were already annoying in Rebels alongside Space Aladdin.

Completely agree on this. Can you imagine how dumb they would have looked on screen if used during A New Hope. The Imperial Dignitaries on ROTJ were much more interesting and we know nothing about them.

Also im sick of the dumb looking wide diameter hats and helmets all these characters and aliens have now, where did those designs come from?

Dave's a weeaboo faggot who hasn't moved on since Avatar the Last Airbender, from like 23 years ago.

Doesn't think about nor does he give a rotten fuck about where any of these designs or names come from. This is the moron who chose to use the word Ronin for no reason. Nor did he bother to give an explanation.

Actually, Sate Pestage, one of them, had quite a few appearances throughout the various novels, and was pretty cool as far as old guys who show up for the background of a single scene are.

it was the last time western animation produced something original that wasn't complete dogshit or based on something
i guess primal was okay but that went nowhere

Y’all remember that deleted scene from AOTC where some of the Jedi assaulted a Droid Control Ship where they attempted to shut down the droids the same way Anakin did in TPM?

I could only imagine how difficult it was to try and finish it. I wonder if George abandoned it due to time constraints and pacing issues, or if it was just that difficult to try and finish it.

Not to mention there was a deleted scene where NSYNC of all people were to cameo as Jedis.

George wanted to make his adapted daughter happy.

I want to see footage of it.

Whattchatalkinabeut?
the droid calling in the empire when the detective guy has said time and time again he doesn't want them involved
he's a droid: reprogram him or just shut him down
i'm surprised he even has that protocol to begin with and it apparently used to be contacting the republic, which is now the empire
you're telling me it can't differentiate the two and the guy left it as is for years, even though he hated the empire enough to split from his wife because of it?

pure plot contrivance

I still wonder about what would have happened if he never sold.
I don't think he would have bothered making any more movies. He likely would have just kept remaking and remastering the six movies he already made. I think he'd still be fine with the infantilization of the franchise, so we'd probably see a lot more kid friendly SW cartoons, but none of the live action series we have today. Also, the EU would still be alive.

Epic or cringe?
Yawn is more like it. The fact this is news stinks of desperation to try and draw in more people. Practically no one is going to pause and focus on Maul's stupid lightsaber sounds, aside from some of the Disney seal clappers pointing at it like a McGuffin. It really is amusing at just how good they are at making Maul ever more bland. Maul was better when he was a damn mystery, when there was little information about him, but Filoni certainly couldn't help himself and a made a sad "anti-hero" whinebag who cannot even run a galactic criminal syndicate without it collapsing over and over again.

Reminds me of what they did with Cad Bane.

They're trying to redeem the Inquisitors, obviously. Marrok went from a guy who dies from a single blow to a guy who can hold off a fully-trained Darth and an adequately-trained Padawan.

I suppose someone at Disney got tired of all the Rebels memes which described the Inquisitors as the equivalent of Team Rocket with red lightsabers.

They're trying to make them as threatening as the Reborn in Jedi Outcast or the Dark Jedi in KOTOR.

Come to think of it, they are kind of like the Dark Jedi in KOTOR who turn up when you visit a planet. The ones that immediately say this line when you see them:

"Lord Malak was most displeased when he learned that you had escaped Taris alive! He has promised a great reward to whoever destroys you!"

Replace "Malak" with the Emperor or Lord Vader, and Taris with Mandalore. You get the picture. That, and Marrok is basically the same kind of foe as the Dark Jedi Shadowtroopers from Jedi Outcast.

Lucas was only ever going to make the Sequels as a response to people not wanting the Prequels to be the last SW movies, hence why he resurrected Maul in TCW, to be used as a villain for the ST.

If anything, his original plans were to leave it at six movies, and let the SWEU be the only thing that continued to produce new content. After Revenge of the Sith, Lucas felt that the cycle was complete and that there should've been no more films.
