Not investing time into a dying social media platform is an abdication of their duty to the trans community apparently

If they'd utilized this tactic against Rowling we wouldn't even have a thread :story:

Stonewall has spent the past ten years saying gays and lesbians should sleep with the opposite sex or troons will off themselves, and somehow their weathervane policies come as a shock to these people? I guess this is what happens if you threaten and bully to get what you want instead of actually changing people’s minds with any kind of coherent argument. Sucks to suck.

This one saying the quiet bit out loud:

Gays sure are lucky to have had their rights movement done with before the modern internet arrived to radicalize every retard who thinks sticking their dick in a toaster makes them an oppressed sexual minority .
The gays spent decades trying to convince people they were normal. There were debates, there was compromise. The decision to go for Domestic Partnerships before full marriage was a soft touch and an effective bit of subterfuge. There was also active disavowment of the real crazies out there.

Meanwhile we have all these self radicalized trannies shouting 'this is NOT a debate', 'there is NO compromise' and insisting trans rights will not be human rights until they are allowed to whip their dicks out in front of toddlers.

Even Rowling would not be so opposed to you had the tranny contingent of the mainstream media not been such massive cocks to her.

Weathervane policies? I defy anybody to tell me of a single policy change or even word change on Stonewall's UK website.

Even as I type this, Stonewall UK is celebrating 'Lesbian Visibility Week' which is aimed at 'lesbian women and non-binary people'.

Now, are trans people retarded and will absolutely eat their own even though Stonewall UK has changed nothing about its single-minded support for trans madness? Yes, trans people are retarded and I will happily let them eat their own.

Is Stonewall UK retarded for saying something any normal human could say about JK Rowling, instead of claiming she should be shot in the head? Yes, Stonewall UK is retarded. I wouldn't mind so much if it followed up and actually dropped trans support, but it has done no such thing. Trans people eviscerating them and eating them is no less than they deserve and I am glad it's happening. But like any flesh-eating wendigo, trans people will be instantly hungry for their next target.

According to AI, she was on public assistance in Scotland as a single mom. I think the trannies are trying to say she wasn't actually as poor as she claims, but if she was NOT on public assistance, its seems somebody would have proof of that by now?

Those are some major oppression points & trannies can't stand it when terfs have actual oppression points (since they only have fake ones)
I could be wrong but I recall a letter to esteemed toilet humor publication, https://viz.co.uk/ which with humorous intent pointed out that JK Rowling writing the Harry Potter books while on benefits was actually her commuting benefit fraud due to her ultimately earning billions from her work then.

Obviously, trannies being retards might have misunderstood that this was a joke.

Also, there were critical people around the time of the first wave of Harry Potter being super popular, fourth or fifth book had been published, one of the movies was newly out, that tried to dress her up as being if not middle class in wealth at the time of her being on benefits, but middle class in connections and social circles.

That’s bullshit too, as it is a bit more common than people want to admit that middle class women end up in poverty when husband ditches them or they leave because of abuse.

UK family and divorce law doesn’t automatically require the husband to support the wife, and many have deliberately made their ex wives lives difficult over the children and support.
The flip side of this is the father’s rights movements, but I digress.

It’s true JK wasn’t a chavtastic single mother on a council estate, going to the shops in her slippers having popped out 6 kids with as many fathers before her 20s, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t struggling financially.

I read everything he writes in the voice of Jar Jar Binks. Misa think Stonewall shuld get big blocking on Bluesky.

Yeah, I think the new head just figured that it's better to offer a olive branch to the Nice Liberal Billionaire Lady rather than have her fully against them. Of course, the trans defence force doesn't seem to have figured out that it's better to just try to be civil and hope that she doesn't get annoyed enough to fund more courtcases.

Sooo Rowling advised Campbell to interview For Women Scotland.

Instead he has put up a link to a three-week old interview he and Rory Stewart did of... Sarah McBride.

I really don't understand how this once absolutely ruthless man has become such a pussy.

How terribly interesting! Two woke bros having a conversation with a third man who identifies as a woman about why he should be granted access to female-only spaces.

Listening to trannies is exactly what made a lot of transphobes reach peak trans. No TERF is going to be swayed by this interview.

Oh god please, please have these two faggots humiliate themselves in public. I promise i will be slightly better and maybe think about going to church someday. Amen.

My GF listens to these two as her main politics podcast (i think she even pays for it) and i've now heard those cunts talk for literal hours of my life.
Campbell seems like a very left wing, very partisan but otherwise mostly practical kind of guy, while Rory is actually retarded. Like unironically.

Since their audience is 90% rightsideofhistory, self ID good guyz looking to have their existing worldview validated on a weekly basis, their show tends to avoid any of the thornier social issues like trannies, Islam or immigration, and when circumstances force their hand they mostly talk about em in broad strokes while focusing on the feelies.
They are also both old and clearly uncomfortable with the issue.

They actually refused to talk about the uk supreme court trans ruling until getting called out on it and giving a 'well i think the ruling changes nothing , and we should treat all trans people on a case by case basis' . With Rory saying that passing trannies may very well be women (who is to say) while non passing ones (who are nonetheless still 100% valid) should perhaps, maybe not be sent into women's prisons, and also he once met a trans person IRL and they were super nice to him so it's ok'

Also, of the two, Rory can absolutely be baited on Twitter and often comes in fuming about anons who called him retarded on the interwebz.

A closeted theymab (i.e., a shlubby guy that thinks wearing a lady's sock negates his cock) is in a bit of a bind: while Mother Bear and Sister Bear are fairly obedient as far as handmaidens go, his uppity bitchcunt sister still hasn't fallen in line properly when it comes to besmirching Rowling's legacy, and he worries that the only thing that might save the women in his life from watching the new HBO series is if he personally reveals he's a troon. However, this, too, is not a plan without its faults, because if they did stop watching once he came out then it would mean that their respect for troonacy is wholly dependent on their love for him as an individual... which still, somehow, manages to piss OP off. Ultimately, it looks as if rather than confront his sister directly (who has a history of simply staying quiet to keep the peace and only bristling when poked too much), OP is choosing the passive aggressive approach of sharing JKR-critical posts on his public Facebook, likely in a bid to make her fold out of guilt. But will it work in the end? We'll have to wait and see...

Reluctant to Come Out Over Sibling's (Possible) Harry Potter Support

I realised I'm trans (femmeby specifically) at the end of last year, and luckily my family are on the whole wonderful and supportive of trans folks; my Mum especially is incredible and, for someone who just turned 65, very open when I talk to her about queer issues, including updates on the latest Rowling nonsense. However, my sister has been very reluctant to drop Harry Potter. Like me, she tries to take a holistic view of situations and people and appreciate the nuances in life, but for her this veers into using "seperate the artist from the art" and "no ethical consumption under capitalism" a bit too loosely in ways I'm sure everyone's familiar w/and, by her own admission, playing devil's advocate. Whereas she tends to view me as, I guess, The Sibling That's Too Woke since, whilst I pick my battles, I do tend to be firm when something crosses the line for me.
For example, when in 2023 we were discussing Christmas and she proudly showed off the "Knit Your Own Harry Potter" doll she'd got Mum, I held my tongue and didn't ask whether, as I suggested in 2020, she had at least got it from a charity shop rather than first-hand. Whereas she shut me down when I asserted that Scream 7 - a film that lost both lead actresses and its director over one of them vocally criticising the Gazan Genocide - is one where supporting the eventual film is a pretty direct vote for the studio supporting genocide, on the grounds that she and her fiance are both big Scream fans and weren't going to let this stop them.
I'm already uncertain about coming out due to a number of factors, particularly not wanting to put more on their plate when we lost our Step-Dad to a stroke in October and my sister's wedding is this autumn, whilst I've been in a state of suicidal depression for nearly a year now; but a big part of it is the feeling that it would be the only thing to get the two of them to not watch the new Harry Potter series. I spoke to a cis male friend today who said that surely that would be great; they may not care enough about trans folks on the whole, but would care about me.
But my point is that would almost be worse, because now I realise that I'm part of trans folks, the idea that them knowing that would be the only reason to not watch the TV show that directly funds trans genocide makes me more protective (?) of that info. We know of cases like Dick Cheney only (partly) dropping the homophobia when his daughter came out, and these two are nothing like him in terms of their views, but that conditional empathy still sucks to consider being on this side of. I should note that my sister didn't mention the trailer for the new HP when I saw her and Mum in the aftermath of it coming out, but my instinct is that's due to her not wanting the argument it would cause and for my part I avoided bringing it up just to call her out.
I just wish that, between this and the reason my ex cut me off [A], I didn't feel that those close to me who profess to support trans folks didn't keep falling short where it counts.

There seems to be some war between British terfs and Rowling right now, does anybody know why they got their panties in a bunch?
What did she say?

Apparently she calls some tranny friend "she"?--which made em mad.

Very long threads, hard to get to the bottom of it in a short period.

I'm not seeing it. A couple of tweets complaining that she called a tranny "she" in 2020. Looking at the accounts, it feels more like concern trolling.

This is nothing new. She wrote about her friend in her original essay:
Again and again I’ve been told to ‘just meet some trans people.’ I have: in addition to a few younger people, who were all adorable, I happen to know a self-described transsexual woman who’s older than I am and wonderful. Although she’s open about her past as a gay man, I’ve always found it hard to think of her as anything other than a woman, and I believe (and certainly hope) she’s completely happy to have transitioned. Being older, though, she went through a long and rigorous process of evaluation, psychotherapy and staged transformation. The current explosion of trans activism is urging a removal of almost all the robust systems through which candidates for sex reassignment were once required to pass. A man who intends to have no surgery and take no hormones may now secure himself a Gender Recognition Certificate and be a woman in the sight of the law. Many people aren’t aware of this.
It's possible she might have changed her mind on this, but I also don't really see how it matters what she calls him, as long as she isn't correcting people who use "he."

Rowling is on Twitter today, taking a bit of time off whatever to play with the bugs that come at her with the cliché cannon. Honestly, it's like wrestling jelly:

It's all there bar the mould and the clownfish.

Is this really now? I know there was a big kerfuffle about that involving many people but that was a couple of years ago.

This brand new account popped up in her mentions and I've got a strong hunch this is Euan Weddell / Sophie Molly. Absolutely his style, with the Scottish insults and the childish petulance.

Ah here is a kerfufflette about pronouns and such.

Edit: goodness, there is a lot of RDS content today:

This "I will think less of you" threat is A Thing, isn't it? I've seen it a few times lately. It's quite funnily unimpressive after all the shit they have threatened in the past...
