Those 70s and later American barges are usually pretty cheap, if you're patient one will probably turn up fairly close by eventually. Though with anything uncommon you are usually best off buying the nicest one you can find at a price regardless of distance. I never saw appeal in American barges of that era, I am not a slab enthusiast. They're not particularly nice, or great looking, and they don't perform well, so there's not much there to like for me. Boat tail Rivieras are cool though.

I wish this 1) wasnt so far from me and 2) I had somewhere to put it. Its gorgeous, and its been for sale for 6 months

72 Cadillac DeVille - unfortunately the sellers direct contact details are not included
Now that's a proper caddy.

Hamilton just did a 1/4mi ZR1x vs his Koenigsegg Jesko. Umprepped surface, ZR1x blew the doors off it both standing and rolling start.

Then they broke out a Rimac. ZR1x did a 9.81, Rimac did 9.75.

The ZR1x might be the quickest ICE automobile ever sold from a dealership.
What's $210k that can only go 1/4 mile sub 10 seconds before needing to charge for 24 hours?

Thread tax - 40s and 50s were peak autobody design eras.

Open question: Does anyone have a link to a Canbus tuning/hacking forum? I am hitting the fucking wall just trying to get live data from a CANHI/LOW OBD2 plug adapter. My goal is to run a can injection to start the engine and keep the steering/transmission locked. I'd also like to add an emergency engine kill switch and wire this up to a 5G control.

This video from autopartscity-illinois got me pissed off. The fucking mexican confused the 6.2 Detroit diesel in this truck when shitting on it for a Oldsmobile 350 diesel.

Inspection is coming up. Car battery needed replacing, which reset everything. Okay, mechanic says I cannot complete inspection until I drive 60 miles. Cool. I go back, now they're saying I need to drive 100 more miles on account of a "smoke test." With how much gas is, this is definitely annoying.

Fuck I feel blessed to just have OBD kiosks here. Exhaust mods? Doesn't fucking matter - drive up to it, plug in, see what happens for $15.

Jaguar Reveals the Official Name of Its New Electric Four-Door GT (the Jaguar Type 001)

God, it’s sad what happened to Jaguar. I actually had a soft spot for Jags, the leaping cat logo was kino, the British luxury elegance and raw performance was there, it was just poorly marketed and had atrocious reliability.

And now? They’re making their own batteries, in house which means that the atrocious reliability record will double with the “Type 001”. Faguar is here, Jaguar is dead.

RIP Jaguar. :semperfidelis:

Lots of people shit on jags (reliability wise which is mostly true) but I've always loved classic jaaaaaags (the early ss cars, the early jaguar cars, the xke, the xj series 1-3 especially the v12 and daimler double six, the xjs, the xj40, the xjr-15, the xj220, the x300, the xk8, the x308 xj8, the f-type hell even the s-type, and x350 xj8, and to a lesser extent the xf and xe) I liked the v12 cars, their old straight sixes sounded amazing, hell the Jaguar 5.0 would be a good engine if it wasn't fully plastic and made by pajeets. But to me my favorite classic jag of them all is a series 3 xj12 or a series 3 daimler double six.

I think clarkson did a good job representing Jaguar cars during vintage top gear, classic top gear 2002-2015 and the grand tour, and I think he picked a damn good song to reminisce about Jaguar cars
R.I.P Jaguar, Burn In Hell Faguar. :semperfidelis:

Pajeets destroyed Jaguar & Land Rover. Land Rover sells on looks alone today but not practically like they used to. Jaguar was mismanaged and now their new CEO is a Pajeet scammer. The new car looks like it was generated by AI. It’s garbage. Burn in hell Tata.

JLR hasn't been good since Ford sold JLR to fucking Tata and their smelly pajeet company. Think about it, when ford started putting effort into jaguar's cars except for the x type, they were good, when they bought land rover and removed the BMW parts from the l322 range rover, and then dropped a 4.4 Jaguar and 4.2 supercharged v8 into the range rover they were more reliable than the BMW powertrains and even more reliable than the Tata era early 5.0 models.

I loved my XJR R over 600whp with pulley and a tune. But they ain't what they used to be. I actually had next to no issues with it during my ownership.

I would not mind an F type as a daily. Since I drive so little for my commute I mostly take my Honda, wife has sexus.

But sometimes I miss that bullet train levels of torque amazing sound and cozy. I don't even have AC and it's 90+ today I sweated my back out in minutes.

NGL. As much as I like muh diesel, I feel some guilt knowing everyone that handles oil are bergs and steins. I don't really care too much about range ( >500 is good ), but all EVs have the worst interiors ever, theyre all smart cars. I hate smart cars. Lithium batteries are also terrible, I don't trust them.

The problems with Jaguar’s rebrand is the fact that they fail to understand the average Jaguar customer. Jaguar has always been a niche esoteric luxury brand that appealed to a small group of people who wanted British performance so sales obviously would never go up but they did stabilize prior to the woke rebranding in 2024. The Indians and their woke British puppet thought otherwise; Jag should’ve be a sexy car with an aggressive cat-like stance but rather they chose a gay block pajeetified vehicle.

Jag needs to be sold back to westerners. Maybe Ineos should buy it. Don’t let the “people” who can’t understand the concept of a toilet own and operate a luxury automotive brand.
