Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

“The sequels will receive a critical reevaluation like the prequels! I tell you!”

Grogu is the oldest character in that scene and is unable to follow simple
I choose to believe that he knows exactly what he's doing and is fucking up because he thinks it'd funny. Classic babby Yeed.
On a second viewing, it reminded me of this Reb Brown gem.
There's real pyrotechnics and vehicles in that scene, instantly better than Mando and Yeed.

The OT were legitimately good movies.

The PT were bad movies, but they had fun energy, and they spawned a lot of memes. People only 'reevaluated' them because in the era of corpo slop, weird autism movies are absolute kino.

The ST have no value, not even to dunk on. They are corpo products to their core, made by people who don't give a fuck, rather than made by a weird nerd like Lucas. None of the characters have any substance, they don't have a strong Obi Wan character to get you through them.

Also, Darth Maul died on Naboo when Obi Wan sliced him in half and he fell 10 miles into a thermal heat power generator, which blasted his corpse into a fine mist. Anyone who believes otherwise is coping and sneeding.

I would say the PT is clearly the result of artistic intent; someone was behind the decisions because they wanted them in the movies. Extremely questionable and weird scenes and whatnot could only result from someone who wanted it for its own sake. The informant that OWK goes to in AotC is a four-armed CGI alien who runs a 50's-style diner. Would it have been cheaper for Kenobi to meet a regular guy in a costume in an alleyway who hands off the information on Kamino? Yeah, that is the choice a large corporate product would take, but Lucas, having made them as the most expensive independent films ever, can make those weird, wholly personal decisions.

The prequels also had the benefit of a ton of supplementary media like shows and games to bolster their reputation. I'm not sure episodes 7-9 had anything on the same level as the original LEGO games, the Clone Wars show etc.

Take a shot the amount of fucking times you hear Canto Bight mentioned because it is the only thing of originality they made and it still sucks.

That barely even sounds like Pedro in this. The speeder has the look of those Fett Vespas too, sigh. Attachments look broken on here for now for video, so go to link I guess.

Here's clip to that loser Kimmel with it:
this is so flat and boring looking. legitimately "they fly now" levels of shit.

I just want a Star Wars movie that feels like Star Wars again. We haven't gotten something that actually feels like a continuation of the universe in the OT since The Jedi Outcast games 20+ years ago. Every Disney offering has tried to capture the aesthetics of Star Wars but even the best ones have always either had a vaguely generic quality to them in the designs or way it's shot that it makes it feel like a generic sci-fi universe with stormtroopers sprinkled in or had out of place tone and humor that doesn't match the universe at all.
