Nearly two months into the conflict and Iran still possesses the capability to threaten any US vessels coming close the straits. This is looking terrible for the US

Even if these stockpiles would run out after a year, China and Russia would certainly resupply them with enough arms to keep the US at bay

I wonder if the long game for the US is to maintain a quasi conflict around Iran for over a decade and hope to collapse the government like they did with Syria. Seeing as the US doesn't have the might to take Iran on directly it may be their only choice

I think the move is to fly a helicopter in and drop someone close to a ventilation access. Put some gas in the system, Russian theater style, and missile city is rendered ineffective.

If they had any capability to threaten the US Navy they would have used it to end the blockade that has shut off 95% of their trade.

They can't even dictate what ships are allowed to enter and leave their own ports. Truly, they are masters of the strait.

I'm wondering what happens when Iran eventually runs out of money. Let's say the blockade drains every last red cent from their trading industry, they're forced to cap all their oil wells, and the Treasury freezes all their accounts. Then are they just stuck as penniless despots who can only convince their ground troops to fight by paying them in grain? I've never really seen a scenario where a country goes bankrupt with no incentive for anyone to bail them out.

The Quran forbids pork but it doesnt say anything about long pig, maybe they will get their decisive victory like the Tang Dynasty with some prime iranian bacon.

There are multiple destroyers in the Gulf of Oman and northern Arabian Sea that are well within missile and Shahed range. Obviously the Navy is afraid of Iran

Remember how a Russian military is being depleted by Ukraine? And now perhaps Iran may turn into a depletion pit for the USA. All the while China gets stronger without firing a single shot or losing a single piece of equipment. We watched for intelligence purposes the supply lines of Russia in the war and know their restocking capabilities and methods. And now the USAs military is being studied to find weaknesses.

China sits. And waits. And learns.

People were saying it would arrive last week. Now its end of this week. Was there a storm or something? It should take about 15 days for it and its escort group to arrive and i thought we heard it was en route 3 weeks ago.
