pretty good summary imo, though I admit I'm not well versed about the French Revolution
I disagree with the video's framing of the Vendée war, It was not provincials getting angry about the revolution not going far enough to abolish feudal taxes. It was anger about the mass conscription of peasants and anti-clericalism of the new regime. Usually when people discuss the revolution they frame the clergy as lecherous middlemen propping up the Ancien regime. Perhaps that was true in larger cities, but in the small towns and villages they were beloved social workers and community leaders. Poor people may not have alot, but they understand loyalty to people that have done right by them. Conscripting people during harvest season was also basically saying "fuck you, your family can go hungry".

The war was a reaction to the regime going too far, not them wanting the revolution to change more. Regardless, they killed 300,000 people in the Vendee alone and possibly committed the first ideological genocide in history. Definitely worth more than one throwaway line.

It's highly inconvenient to popular narratives around the Revolution so that's all it gets.

Turreau bragging about how many women and children his sword of liberty claimed in his dispatches to Paris has always been one of the most haunting anecdotes of the Revolution for me.

The whitewashing of the leftwing radicalism of the French revolution is one of the biggest travesties of modern history. So many of our gaynigger world's problems stem from that, so ignoring the mistakes of the time only leads to the perpetuation of similar crimes. Like the genocide of entire "classes" of people, antitheism becoming a religion in itself, rampant demagoguery.

The US was extremely lucky to have completed its own revolution before that poison traveled across the Atlantic. And despite its modern-day issues, England also saved itself for a while by previously satiating its desire for royal killing centuries before.

There's a reason the surviving founders saw the French cutting people's heads off in their revolution and immediately ceased supporting it.

Some french guys tried to recreate how routs in ancient greek warfare happened. Has english subtitles.
Im genuinely surprised they didn't have the routers throw away their weapons which is attested in almost all the sources

Edit accidentally a whole word.

The War in Vendee, the Chouannerie and other "counter" revolutions have been thoroughly besmirched by commies because they showcase a reality that they can't accept. That class struggle is a ephemeral idea of the middle class that wish to use it to attack and supplant the upper class and in reality the upper and lower classes can easily join given either an external threat or even better an internal connection like religion.

What is more surprising is how little they have been used by anti commies as an example of resistance to their ways. Which is strange because things like the White Army during the Russian Civil War are given a sort of romantism, despite being mostly a liberal counter revolutionary force rather than a right wing one.

Partially because there's not really a reasonable expectation of victory at any point in the Vendee for the royalists. It's hard to romanticize a a side in a war that was doomed from the outset.
