I can't think of any FUNimation dubs off the top of my head where I thought she was phenomenal, however, I did watch Sentai's dub of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun and didn't realize she was the main lead for a couple of episodes. She just needed to be pushed into quality, and typically that happened under ADV/Sentai even though she was relegated to a supporting/side character. There's kind of a reason why fans used to praise the AIR dub back then because sounding moé in English is difficult, and Monica as Misuzu is considered a stand-out performance of how to do it. Even a rewatch a couple years ago wasn't painful despite hindsight being a bitch.

Doubt she'll ever pull off that voice again now, not after putting on all that weight and hitting menopause.

Look at Noir, Azumanga Daioh, and Ghost Stories. They're my favorite performances of hers. She's tolerable in Michiko to Hatchin too. Everything else? Lmao fat.

Shout out to Hell Girl, Le Chevalier d'Eon, hell even Red Garden (minus the singing). There's also that Daikon Brothers show. They're all pretty great dubs.

Somewhere along the line, I'll guess after Panty and Stocking, the industry went to shit and personally I blame the newer dub actors. They're all about sjw diversity bullshit now. The performance truly sucks. I also blame the recording schedule with simldubs and crap. No time to redo lines and such.
 
Why is this an active thread? This was over years ago, Vic lost. Nick Rekieta exposed himself as a complete degenerate. What is there left in this thread? Trying to track every single voice actor who is even remotely involved in this dead issue and hope that they are doing bad?

Vic was only the beginning. The Weeb Wars are still on. Nowadays, we discuss the localizers getting in trouble for the woke localizations. Vic losing doesn't change the fact that we still have an issue with the industry.

There is no war, the economy is just shit in general right now but nerds convince themselves they're somehow responsible whenever one of their enemies is affected.

This isn't about the economy. We talk about the fact that localizers get backlash every time they make woke adaptations. They get in trouble with both the Western fans and Japan. The economy is hardly in the conversation.
