Jim hasn't turned from the far right, what are you talking about? He hasn't moderated at all from what I can tell. He's still 100% against the invasion of the west by foreigners. Well Jim did announce he was sick around that time and the propaganda was that Covid-19 was an apocalyptic scenario for even the healthy. The evidence and common sense said otherwise but it might be asking a bit much to expect someone with an autoimmune disease to objectively look at the data and not freak out about the propaganda, like people in China being welded into their apartments for quarantine.

Covid-19 was a massive psychological operation and it traumatized a lot of people. My personal observation is people have become much less joyful and more "flat" since then. It was a rude awakening for many people that things are much worse than we thought they were when a select few people can orchestrate the shutdown of societies across the globe over nothing, killing potentially millions of people by denying healthcare and poisoning them with a "cure" (putting people with respiratory infections on ventilators and MRNA "vaccines" that have caused many deadly issues like myocarditis and cancer). And not a single person responsible has been held to account. But mostly the trauma and its effects have been subconscious.

it was definitely the assassination attempt, he seemed very ambivalent to negative on trump before that. he didn't vote for him in 2016 and even made fun of him after his failed attempts to overturn the election results in 2020. at the time it was like, okay, he thinks it was cool that trump got shot. makes sense. i've definitely heard him jerk off about theodore roosevelt getting shot and finishing his speech before, it's not totally out of character for him to get amped up by that. and i can see why a very sick man would be more susceptible to cling to anything positive and hopeful for the future.

however, even knowing how desperate he is to believe that trump can save america, you'd think iran would be the tipping point for him to throw his hands up and admit that his hopes were misplaced. it's unnerving. like the guy's brain just short circuited and now he literally cannot stop sucking dick even if he wanted to. i've been a fan of the guy since 2014 and i just don't recognize him anymore, i can't even say he's like a bad parody of himself because he was never like this before.

I find it hard to believe that this is who he's always been, because the first time I watched his Jim videos was actually when I was around 13 to 15 years old back in 2007 to 2009. I watched people ranging from Bigal2k6, darknessthecurse, darkscream217, Koikitsune and Jim81jim back in the day alongside the AVGN and other old youtubers. Sure, a lot of the videos were shit and lack any sort of editing software glitz back in the day, but they had something that I never seen before:

Honesty and candidness.

It was a huge breath of fresh air to see someone tell you what they really think about a subject matter and you know for a fact they aren't being sponsored by anything. I may not agree with some of Jim's opinions, but I respected the fact that he was able to be candid and honest about the stuff he talks about.

I just don't see anything resembling Jim anymore. It's like he's been compromised by the very people he used to make fun of back in the day.

But it's a possibility that he's always been shallow and never believes in anything he says, like a wave rider.
