Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

An honest question: do any people reading this thread have the slightest understanding the sheer scale of the damage done through the strait being closed and what is inevitably coming economically to the globe and at the USA as a result, and that the costs you see today pale to what is absolutely coming on the horizon?
Yes, of course there is going to be damage, but relative to what? 2008, COVID, the Ukraine war, etc.? Further, it is not a question of just the resulting damage imo, but also what the US gains by degrading Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, etc.

The gain may indeed be worth the pain, but it is too early to be able to say that.

Note that they've been keeping these security precautions in place for nearly a week, as evidence that in-person talks are always right around the corner.
Even they can't keep that appearance up anymore.

Where the hell have you been?, we've in blockade mode going on 12 days now.
With the implication it was just until Peace talks happen. Which, with the news today, doesn't seem like that's happening at all now. So that changes the long term outlook. I just don't know what the plan is with a long term blockade. Starving Iran out?

They are just gonna keep dragging it on and on.
In a sense they're the perfect enemies for the US. Any country run by sane people would hit the brakes well before three carrier groups showed up off the coast and started blasting. The poor guys at the Department of War have no way to try out their equipment or get combat experience without insane weirdos with a death fetish.
Here's to Shia Islam 🍻

"We can remain retarded for longer than you can remain solvent", is the strategy.

and Iran has been messaging that they won't actually engage in negotiations until the blockade is gone. They stated over and over before today that they weren't going to engage in negotiations with us in Islamabad and that if any of their officials even met with ours it would be just to restate their demands and intentions. Today's announcement from our side was just that we weren't going to fly to the other side of the globe for that.

Is Trump implying Bridge and Power Plant day will happen Sunday or Monday? A return to the previous bombings? An operation on the Kharg Islands?
You know, before he very likely chickens out again because he is scared of the markets and oil prices jumping.

This is all true. And Trump has also said that he's not taking the blockade down until Iran negotiates. So.... what's the plan? Either it's to break Iran with a siege or break iran with bomb and bridge day.

That is the point of a blockade in general, yes, the longer it continues the more difficult things become for the regime creating mounting pressure for them to give in.

Can we get back to bombing these retards yet? Preferably while one of them is on a live news conference. I just want one of them to be talking about they will never give up, and then get vaporized on camera.

It turns out that Reuters, Al Jazeera, and a bunch of other so-called "journalists" are all just copying forwards directly from Pakistani military WhatsApp groups and posting them as news.
@Mr. Racewar1488 would never stoop to such trash reporting.

Pretty much what WSJ is doing with their constant stream of "US secretly signalling readiness to give Iran what they want!!" crap every few days. Their sources are pakijeets trying to manifest an agreement and farm izzat.
