I'm not entirely convinced he's not just seeing things. I watched the trailer, and didn't get these weird vibes from the game. I'm never going to play it, however.

The simple fact of the matter, how I've come to see it lately, is that freedom is self-destructive. A good society would very clearly stomp out bad ideas, like an immune system, but we know how well that turns out on average. I can very easily see the argument that lolicon causes real harm, so it should be banned; afterwards, holocaust denial also causes real harm, so it should be banned too. That's the direction of things I'm seeing in all of this, and I'd bet a lot of money I'd be right if it goes this way. There's no good path from here, only two extremes.

I can tell you care about the issue of male victims being dismissed and ignored by our system. I do too, I'm sure many here share that sentiment. A child who was sexually abused deserves justice, regardless of any factors. Nowhere I see in his streams or his posts did Josh dismiss or mishandle the topic of male victims. The reason he talks about the lolicons quite a bit is because of a few reasons: lolicons fucking hate him and hate the mere mention of the name "Kiwi Farms", they actively make false claims against Josh, they actively lie about this platform and its users (Chibi Reviews' recent false claims), and lolicons are really fucking loud. These people feel the desperate urge to digitally "scream from the rooftops" about how they want to molest children, as seen in the Pragmata Steam reviews and Reddit community activites. So I mostly lurk here, but a chapter of a manga I've been reading has recently been translated and posted to MangaDex. I wont go into the details of the manga too much, but the rough TL;DR is that its your bog standard harem manga, an isekai where the protagonist is transported to another world with a skewed gender ratio (M/F 1:5 in this instance). For the most part, this manga has had clearly drawn and detailed adult women (I believe except for a high schooler the protagonist is a tutor for, but they haven't had much time in the manga) which have and had interacted with the protagonist from the beginning. However, the recent chapters has been an arc where the protagonist has been helping a first-year middle schooler get better at basketball to stop her from being bullied. It's important to mention said middle schooler has feelings for the protagonist (who is in college) but the protagonist has not set any clear boundaries in the story (partly because he's a harem protagonist and is naive, I digress). In the most recent chapter, to again TL;DR, the protagonist falls while playing basketball with the middle schooler and the middle schooler pins him to the ground and sexually assaults him. Note that the manga has been "mostly" normal (for this genre) up to this point.

In response, and the update dropped just under a day ago, the forum comments attached to the chapter in specific have been absolutely flooded with lolicon posters, with said chapter having by far the most comments out of any. Here's some highlights:

Exactly, anyone with even a mild interest in lolicon needs to be shunned and openly humiliated. I disagree. The criminalization of information starts with something no one wants to defend; then people want to expand it from there, as we see; and eventually we live in Great Britain, where police beat down our doors for mocking trannies.
