Here in NC, the “we’re not a union” teacher’s union organizes a sickout every year on May Day to cripple the public school system as they gather at the capital to attempt bully the legislature. They get a large crowd there by telling the teachers they’re fighting for raises to their already high babysitter salaries but when the bullhorns get going, it’s Medicaid expansion and whatever communist cause is the flavor of the day.
