Surely there are many more secure options that could be used as venues for future White House Correspondents' Dinners - at least the ones confirmed to have the President and his Cabinet attending - without suddenly deciding it's absolutely vital we jump right to burning exorbitant amounts of US tax dollars on a suspicious bunker-ballroom? We did just fine without one for a very long time but now because of one weird night we're going to have this concerted push by the miggers for this ballroom?

Everything the spray-tanned dementia patient and his administration does feels so much like heavily choreographed WWE storylines that it's hard to take any of it at face value.

I mean, the venue was secured. A bad guy encountered the outer layer of security and he was stopped. He never got near the important people. This happens at the White House, too. Nutjobs jump over the fence or ram the gate.

Because the Secret Service did a shit job securing the area Trump needs a ballroom. Someone explain the logic of building your way out of a personnel problem.
 
For once Erika does have some of my sympathy. It would rattle anyone in her position.

Okay, that’s enough sympathy for her. She knew, or should have known, what could result from the rhetoric and policies she has contributed to. Go home, spend time with your children, who will always be more affected by their father’s death than she will.
