Theres this back and forth because libs are rightfully saying it looks stupid and tacky, while conservatives are noting the horrendous algae problem. No one and I mean no one is talking about a practical solution of having a dispersed waterflow system which would both disperse the algae and therefore keep the water reasonably blue (ie egineer the pool to function like a swimming pool)

I feel this is a pattern: Trump will announce something stupid like "everyone needs to wear clown pants, or else your a commie fake news palestiner". Libshits will be like "ew no. Why can't you let people just be in rags", the convershart will talk about how patriotic it is to wear pants and the conversation will go on and on without anyone proposing that you can in fact make two pairs of pants for every clown overalls.

Considering how he phrased his manifesto, Cole Allen very much believed that the United States is the truly authoritarian dystopia that liberals like to say it is.

Like, I expected security cameras at every bend, bugged hotel rooms, armed agents every 10 feet, metal detectors out the wazoo.

What I got (who knows, maybe they’re pranking me!) is nothing.

No damn security.

Not in transport.

Not in the hotel.

Not in the event.

Like, the one thing that I immediately noticed walking into the hotel is the sense of arrogance.

The security at the event is all outside, focused on protestors and current arrivals, because apparently no one thought about what happens if someone checks in the day before.

Like, this level of incompetence is insane, and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets actually competent leadership again.

The part about not checking the arrivals (at the hotel where the dinner was held) from the day before is a genuine security oversight though.

That's what is really striking to me about the manifesto, the idea that you're going to only take out le heckin evil Nazi leaders and think it will be like breaking some kind of evil brainwashing spell.
