One can see that from how homogeneous Japan has been in the past, and there is also at least one series of interviews where a guy asks random Japanese people what they think of immigration. Although there was a consensus in the interviews that any immigration should be limited. And of course acceptance of immigration is not universal over there, and the Japanese have a common mentality where only ethnically Japanese people can be Japanese (a foreign citizen is still naturally seen as a foreigner). However the series of interviews -- which I forget where and good luck finding them with that craptastic YouTube search engine -- was before migrants really started flooding into Japan lately.Could you confirm if this is true or not?
