They aren't going to have the votes needed in the Senate to remove him, so it would be a huge waste of time and probably give him ammunition at a time when some of his slaves are starting to leave their fugue state.

I also wonder if some of them are afraid of what would happen if he were legally removed but just refused to go. They have undoubtedly noticed that Trump has been tying himself to pay raises for soldiers and made loyalty to him an implicit condition of employment in ICE. A brigade here, a few platoons there, it doesn't take much to bring the country to a halt.

I get the strong sense Netanyahu knew exactly how this would effect Israel's standing, but did it because the institutions and policies which enable the Jewish state will still be in play for the foreseeable future, and the material benefits derived from a scorched-earth approach were too great to pass up. By the time our policy reflects the average 18-40 year old American's sentiment on the issue, Israel likely won't need our support. Even sanctions are unlikely, considering that it's been a longstanding trend for policymakers to base embargoes more on the friend/neutral/enemy distinction than any feigned commitment to global human rights.

This goes back way further than 10 years. Really the 60's is when this started. It's just became more popular over time. They realized that they couldn't subvert the working class in American (at the time) with the same rhetoric that worked in other places. But they realized they could take advantage of the racial divides here instead. These ideas started with a few communists in our education system, which overtime spread to infect more of the education system. Then spread further from their.
