I would say that's a fifty fifty split of her being bad at talking about it, and the general public sold a fantasy of what was in the files.

There definitely is a chance that it would be a larger fuckup than her previous media appearances. If the admin really thought that the chances of her/Kash fucking up outweigh the good it could do to quash the conspiracy-tards, then, yes, don't do it.

He does (and so did Bondi) have one of the most difficult jobs in the admin with having to wrangle an out-of-control FBI. With so of them possibly working against him, running cover for Dems, leaking, sabotaging investigations, etc.. etc....
