Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

Alright, one last thing though since you seem to honestly think your position is logical. Explain to me why we shouldn't care that our GCC allies have historically funded and continue to fund ISIS and al-Qaeda affiliates, and why we even put a former terrorist leader in charge of Syria, and removed the $10 million bounty that we had on his head for maiming and murdering countless Americans over the years. Yet despite all this, we're supposed to be more concerned with fucking Houthis and Hezbollah?

Make it make sense, I'll hang up and listen.
Realpolitik. Remember back when the Soviets were invading Afghanistan and the US were funding the Taliban and American media painted Osama as an heroic freedom fighter? Are you really going to ignore the years upon years of /pol/tards like you acting smug about how obviously both the US and Israel were funding ISIS because at the time it was convenient only to get rid of them when they overstepped their boundaries?

Islamic terror was a tool, an at the time fucking awesome non-war extension to politics arising at the end of of an era of proxy wars that backfired hard with 9/11 (I'll refrain from sperging about the 1993 WTC bombing) but retained a legacy and lessons learned with ISIS, who dreamed big but are only remembered nowadays thanks to Liveleaks. October 7th marked the death knell of it and this war is, among other factors, a natural conclusion of Islamism overstaying its welcome.

And as for Syria, the guy promises an end to the civil war and a reasonable enough regime. The cold truth is that governments are always willing to let bygones be bygones if not for a greater benefit then for the sake of a good enough solution rather than taking more unnecessary gambles in a clusterfuck like the Syrian Civil War after Assad became part of Putin's Pokemon collection.

How many fucking tentacles does this backwater hovel have? Yeesh.

Say's "US Marines". Shows picture of an aircraft carrier and Navy Sailors. That's just insulting. The Marines are going to shove their crayons extra hard into the Iranians eyeballs now.
The Marine Corps has been part of the United States Department of the Navy since 30 June 1834
What does Marine stand for? My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment.

This is something I try and fail to impress on Euros and Milennials.
Sometimes it is better to face a problem and deal with it now even though dealing with that problem is difficult, instead of sitting back and waiting for the problem to get worse.
This is one of those times. Iran blockading the straight of homoz was a known problem for decades, ever since Iran/Iraq, but no one was really doing anything to fix it. Iran ignoring the JCPOA was known and no one did anything about it. By doing this shit now, its stopping Iran from becoming a bigger problem in the future, and making everyone sit up and take notice, and actually start trying to remove Hormuz as a global trade bottleneck.

Yapping is what is sold to westerners and has been for some time. Talk, hash, seek agreement, blah blah blah - and then deflect everything onto someone else. You think you solved it, but what you did was make everyone collectively feel like they did something. They didn't. They just pushed it onto someone else to deal with it, now or later.

Well, Trump is the person, and later is now the present.

Europe really can't "get" having to deal with things. Europe thinks if you just have committees and scold and nag it just works. They don't realize that what happens is "cops and lawyers make people do things." When you deal with Iran, which is another nation, you can't scoldnag.

And the USA isn't like the Euro cops.

lol.

A lot.
They have a ton of the diaspora movement they can blend in with in UK, Europe, Canada and the US, plus UAE and Saudi Arabia are they new money laundering hubs. You can get anonymous nominee director companies for $4-5k a pop. Combine that with crypto and oil operations and you can build a vast network of shell companies to launder money through.

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has largely stayed out of public view, communicating mainly in writing, though sources close to him say he has mostly recovered from injuries sustained in the initial attack on Iran’s leadership compound, can now move independently, and bears a visible facial scar, according to Foreign Policy.

➡️ He has survived at least two additional assassination attempts during the war and has therefore maintained a low profile for security reasons.

➡️ Mojtaba remains politically active and has met with President Masoud Pezeshkian while personally responding to messages, including one sent to reformist leader Mohammad Khatami, signaling efforts to build broader political support.
I hope the writer of this article is interested in my skills at hanging people upside down and quartering them with a chainsaw.
Friedrich Merz sounds like a name out of a Thomas Pynchon novel.

Merz sucks cocks and Neo-Weimar Germany deserves to die. Faggot traitor establishment cunts in Europe want to court the muzzie vote since they know the next round of elections will wipe them off the face of the earth like skid marks in a toilet.

If I had to guess, maybe one of their goals was to get those GCC proxies to exert pressure on the US/Israel to end their attacks. You're dealing with a much smaller military with very limited options that they can use to respond to outright attacks by the largest military in the world. So if it makes it easier, I suppose we can consider it a form of guerilla warfare, rather than a logical cohesive defensive response waged according to video game rules.

I guess we could lean on you to detail what their best response would have been. From what I understand, you have a PhD in Middle Eastern studies with your published doctoral dissertation on 8th Century Religious Beliefs in a 21st Century World (quite the read, lemme tell you - great job).

Anyways, enlighten us as to what the best response to the US/Israeli attacks would have looked like, other than just them laying down and letting us plant pride flags all over Tehran.
Dude shut up about the moralizing of Middle Eastern geopolitics, we are close allies with the Saudis and other gulf arabs, who have done some very screwed up shit, for the simple reason that they happen to control a really large share of oil and gas being exported all over the world, meaning they have pretty large influence on energy over so many other countries all over from Europe to Asia, even back home by partial control on prices, so, its easier on us if they are on our side, which also benefits them as they need that us as our security guarantor.

Geopolitics has almost always been just like that, its cold, its ruthless, a lot of horrible stuff will be looked the other way for pragmatic reasons, maintaining valuable partnerships.

But I guess its not solely your fault for thinking we need a moral reason why, the people in this thread need to believe we're doing this because this is apparently some righteous crusade against Islam, all the while were doing what we can to protect many of our allied Arab Muslim states from further harm.

They still make them but they're a 1950s rifle design
Even brand new out of the German factories they had an MoA of around 4.5 at best, so I don't think Iranian ones are going to be all that much better.
What a fascinating time to be alive. I hope he's enjoying Haifa.
He's laying the groundwork for Esmail Qaani to finally touch the Western Wall as he's dreamed of ever since his earliest childhood years.
They've been edging on this since 2020 (possibly earlier), due to the constraint OPEC membership puts on their production. Saudi uses OPEC as a protectionist scheme for its own oil profits, which means a smaller partner like UAE always loses out. Outside of OPEC, they can expand production to meet the market rather than curtailing when Saudi wants a profit boost.

haha, cougared...
OPEC's been struggling to maintain its integrity ever since the USA started exporting. The Saudis have been increasingly desperate to protect their market share in the face of the US exports, and they've been fucking over their fellow OPEC members to do so.
The ordinance is too heavy for one fighter so two of them will carry it.
I see they've decided the geniuses at Monty Python had the right idea. Given their material shortages one wonders where they'll find a strand of creeper long enough and strong enough.
How the fuck did we even get to the point where in a war with Iran we've got fucking Israel and Ukraine helping defend the gulf coast. I dunno who's writing this story but he needs an editor and some medication ASAP.
Stephen King decided to share some of his drugs with Tom Clancy's ghost.
Iran was the key to peace in the Middle East all along!
Who knew all we had to do was to find someone they'd hate worse than the Israelis?
If I had my way they'd be issued M-14s and 45 Colts so they could properly take out the ASSHOLLA'S "soldiers"!
I love how accidentally correct this is. To quote from Sir John Ardagh, the British representative at the Hague Convention of 1899 that proceeded to ban expanding rounds in warfare over the objections of the USA and UK:
The civilized soldier when shot recognizes that he is wounded and knows that the sooner he is attended to the sooner he will recover. He lies down on his stretcher and is taken off the field to his ambulance, where he is dressed or bandaged. Your fanatical barbarian, similarly wounded, continues to rush on, spear or sword in hand; and before you have the time to represent to him that his conduct is in flagrant violation of the understanding relative to the proper course for the wounded man to follow—he may have cut off your head.
We had issues with Moros insurgents in the Philippines tanking .38 rounds from our revolvers and getting some machete whacks in against our guys before they finally bled to death, the Somalians at Mogadishu would get nailed by 5.56 a couple times and just keep on fighting until their bodies finally gave out from under them, ISIS gave their guys stimulants and combat drugs so they'd keep on fighting even after getting shot... The only thing that drops guys who for whatever reason, be it via fanaticism or drugs, do not care if they live or die in battle is immediate, severe physical trauma.

I'd rather have the trump gulf over the fucking arab gulf. I can even tolerate being named "the getting fucked in the ass by a kike with 6 fingers and a McDonald's addict gulf". But have one word that's associated with sandniggers and I will shove a C4 up my ass and scream YA ALI! Before blowing myself up.
You are my favorite Persian ever and I know a bunch of Persians. Please never change.

Isnt there a new anti drone gun kit that basically wires up to a carbine with a detection scope and auto fires once it detects the drone?

Apparently you hold down the trigger and the scope decides when to let it fire when your angle would hit the drone it acquired. Taking away the whole pesky hard to hit problem.

Russians have had luck with birdshot with anti personal drones as well.
Ah ha here it is in action.

Called SMASH 2000

Alot. But most of them were fronted through entities based in France, the UK and China, who up until this point the USA was reluctant to actually start dropping strict enforcement on.
Can we move on from dropping strict enforcement terms on the French to dropping bombs on the French? Its past time the Eternal Frog has been made to pay for his crimes.
