It's literally just conservatism vs progressivism. That's why the meme that the conservatives of today are the progressives of yesterday, and that the progressives of today are the conservatives of tomorrow is accurate. It's literally just a question of whether you want to conserve traditional morals and values or "progress" to idealistic fairy tale bullshit.
You can make a distinction between social vs economic conservatism/liberalism but otherwise the definitions are pretty clear.
I guess the fact that they're buying guns now is a point of discussion, but that's arguably a feature of the libertarian vs authoritarian axis rather than the progressive-conservative one, just a phenomenon of the progressives skewing libertarian in reaction to authority being tentatively conservative.
Violent protest is not an exclusively "right wing" behavior, arguably it's more left wing than right wing, as with groups like the Weather Underground, and Antifa. It's baked into their narrative that they're freedom fighters against a fascist empire, a narrative that persists even when they're the authoritarian regime. You only think of "violent extremism" as "right wing" because the left has had near total control of the media for... well, at least as long as I've been alive.
