Extremely looksmatched too. Tayleigh was an annoying fish both in S2 and Bloodgames, but outside of the tank she seems nice. I hope they keep hanging out.

He wasn't flying he was driving but he had to stop in Kentucky to drop off his monkey's at his mom's house. He did a stream last night so he's definitely still on his way to wherever they are. If Jet and Ben really are going back for the sprinter before coming back to Miami Alex B might just be meeting them at the S5 house so he can go with them.
 
Now that the Crazy Gang saga (or at least part 1) is (probably) finished, I think I can give my more detailed thoughts.

Overall I liked it and it justified this month of my season pass. As the season pass goes, I had never purchased one prior to S4, then I cancelled after S4 imploded, I rebought the pass for S5 and I'm going to keep renewing it as long as I receive more than 10 hours of reasonably enjoyable content a month, so my entertainment expenses are less than $1/hr. Jet has to earn my pass each month and if he doesn't I will cancel. He did it this month at least, we'll see how May goes. Or, like, mid-May or whatever since I bought my pass the day S5 started so that's the renewal cycle. Anyway.

I still deeply hate Aryeh on a personal level but that has not stopped past FT contestants from being content and it didn't stop him this time. Aryeh was the star, he was the real chud to chad, fuck Kevin. Letty (SWUT) taught him how to tie his shoes, if that's not a real, organic character arc I don't know what is. The thing that fascinated me the most about Aryeh was not Aryeh himself but Ben. Ben seemed most invested and enthusiastic whenever he was doing stuff with Aryeh or even just being right next to Aryeh as Aryeh did his thing. I can tell Ben thinks Aryeh is great content. The producers always have their own pet contestants they like the most and at least as far as this trip was concerned, Aryeh was Ben's.

Kevin is so natural doing the freakshow stuff but tbh I'd rather not see him again. His whining about boredom reminded me of retard dipshit fans who screech about doing chargebacks the second the house gets boring. He was the main plot device though.

The litty scripted drama between Letty and Jet had everybody fooled, even me (although not as much and for not as long as many others). People are down on scripted content but I don't care. I watch pro wrestling, if I was a dipshit retard incapable of enjoying something because it's fake then I wouldn't enjoy very much. I think the scripted Letty/Jet beef actually helped accentuate Jet's (more or less) real arc of growing as a person, him feeling bad about the Letty situation and letting her back in to stream on her own worked well withe the later Abi talk and when he addressed the Claire video. Jet W.

Crazy Gang Angie is the best Angie in FT history. She always tries to be involved and drive content without going too wacky, but she also knows (at least moreso than Kevin) when to shut up and take a backseat to things more interesting than her. I wouldn't mind seeing her again, even if she did fuck Damiel.

Damiel was easily better than he was in S1, his shtick works a lot better for this thing that is not Fishtank (more on that later) and also him not being obviously withdrawing from Xannies helped a lot vs. S1. That being said I'd be totally fine never seeing him again.

The switching back and forth between Crazy Gang and Diamond Gang was fun, as a viewer having to switch between streams definitely gave it more energy. Diamond surprised me with how degenerate she is willing to get, or at least how degenerate she's willing to let other people get while she films. I wouldn't mind seeing her back in another Fishtank-branded packaged entertainment product (PEP).

Overall, this was not Fishtank. Bizarrely, there are some people who are actually so stupid they thought it would be Fishtank, or anything like it. I didn't have that misconception going in, I knew it would be a scuffed livestream where they're just kinda goofing around with a very loose storyline, and I was not let down. It was also not Fishtank in the sense that I didn't feel an urge to nolife it, I could check in whenever and never feel like I had missed out, even when I had actually missed something. Much more chill of a viewing experience than a main season. Overall (do I get paid to say that word?), I was entertained. If you weren't entertained by this you probably have brain damage. It's OK to check out of Fishtank between seasons if the post-season content isn't for you (which I very well might end up doing if they fail to provide >10 hours of monthly entertainment in the future), although I suspect many in the broader Fishtank community haven't figured that out yet.

angie was better than expected. shes a decent side character.
aryeh is obnoxious but has his moments. he was good at the clav club.
the diamond/kevin/crazy gang stuff was funny.
all of the homeless people shit that happened was pretty wild. kevin smoking meth, hugh getting a face tattoo.
i think the w ultimately goes to diamond.
without the gang war dynamic it probably would have been a lot more boring.
that drove a lot of the content imo

There’s something that’s bugging me about JD’s comments. I could’ve sworn that there was literally a picture of him sitting next to his allegedly online only girlfriend, when he got phone booked. Maybe I just hallucinated that or maybe it was his sister. I can’t find the post.

In any case the “production told me to be a vibe nuke” is also a bit fishy. Sure they could’ve encouraged him, but I don’t think it was an act. There’s also the fact that he changed his story regarding the condom/open relationship thing multiple times on the tank.

In short everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt, and JD still gay.
