A lot of the uptick in diagnosis is the direct result of kids not being taught or learning how to deal with what life throws at them. They haven't been taught how to process it mentally or healthy coping mechanisms to deal with their issues. It also hasn't helped that since the Millennials onward, retarded far Left teachers and school administrators who were the ones who acted like the retards and morons we kept in line decided that they were going to protect their fellow retards and morons in school from their peers verbally and physically knocking sense into them. It made it so they could be retards and morons through their educations well into college and ill prepared them for the real world which doesn't adhere to that protect them bullshit.

Maybe in Canada. If in Minnesota, it would only apply if she didn't work and was a home provider. Jer's wife retired and with that has worked. She also more than likely has a 401K or pension coming in as a result of it. If she is there for the money, she is there for when Jer inherits his parents estate which he only has his mother left for that to happen.
$800 is not much for a lens, by the way. You can easily spend north of $1500 for an IS STM, never mind IS USM lenses.

Edit: Also him saying he has the 50MM (aka fixed focal basic bitch lens) means he still has the lens that most likely came with his camera. I cannot understand how people can work with cameras for their entire adult lives and still not get a basic set-up going. You don't need canon lenses. Just get some Korean slop lens, they're perfectly fine for 99% of usecases. You don't even need that good of a camera. This is all kind of equivalent to building your own PC, you don't have to get a pre-built one for $10,000 or whatever, just buy the parts you need and their cheaper equivalents.
You can absolutely have a perfectly working set-up for under $500 and look infinitely better than Jer does, if you just put in the effort in understanding the tools you're working with. But this is Jer we're talking about.
A month or so ago, I came across a video with a guy testing lenses from Chinese companies wondering what their quality was. He was surprised by how well they were made for the money. From the looks of things with watching the video, I was surprised by it myself. I was half expecting dust to be trapped inside one stuck on the lens.
There are a lot of options for lenses out there. Jer is a brand whore when it comes to himself though. Like, he'd go and buy Sony for it being Sony while ignoring a lesser known brand with better electronics to only end up with the stereotypical Sony dying just out of warranty bullshit to deal with.
Basically, there is always a risk of this if you buy from online, with a few caveats. Amazon and other big-box retailers stopped accepting returns of these products, which in theory should cut down on repacks -- but this is only true for the ones they sell; if an individual merchant sells their own secondhand, they may still be reseals. However, Jer isn't buying from these places, I think: he seems to be hunting for deals and low prices on Ebay, which all but guarantees you get reseals.
More importantly, though - it means Jer has no FLGS. That's shorthand for Friendly Local Game Store. If you have one even remotely close to you, you want to try to buy your product through them (when possible) because the people who run these stores always ensure that the product is good, not resealed, and as direct as it gets short of having a contact with a distributor. It's very uncommon for people to buy direct from product distributors, but almost everyone on the platform who does box openings buys those boxes from their LGS. You do pay a bit of a premium, but you're both supporting a local business (which also means a place to play pickup games)... and ensuring you get good product.
This tells me two things: he doesn't have the money on-hand to buy this shit at full-price; and he doesn't have an LGS that he's welcome or a regular at. Considering he tried to bill himself as a big deal in the MTG community, to where it was his whole thing before he monkeybranched to Sargon? It's really odd. I'm beginning to suspect he's developing (or has had) agoraphobia.
When my friends and I played Magic 20 or so years ago, reseals were a problem even back then including with local card shops. So, what we did was find people locally we could trust to buy from and always by the box with how much harder it is to reseal them without it being apparent. The irony of which is, the people we found the most trustworthy with Magic cards were people who sold them on the weekends at the area flea markets who had regular tables there. I think it was because most of them only worked the flea market on the weekend and supported themselves that way.

The whole first name thing as a threat goes back to Jer's days as Sargon's cappo chortling his balls with the skeptics. They loved to use the first name threat with people they created their gay ops folders on as a go to first strike. They actually thought it was going to work on someone like Coach Red Pill too which was hilarious on multiple levels.
It was hilarious because all of them, Jer included, actually thought it would make someone like CRP back off from calling out their retardation and exposing them for being pseudo-intellectual grifters. It was also hilarious because anyone with an IQ above 50 could've told them that someone like CRP wasn't going to take kindly to threats like they were making.
Him and Sargon tried the same threat with Mister Metokur too for making fun of them. It didn't work with him either.
