I bet it gets a lower opening. Probably $50-60 million but that’s me being optimisticThe year is 2026. A Star Wars film is bragging about an $80 million projected opening.

That's why I said office watercooler, not local game store, nerd hangout, or whoever your fellow nerd friends might be. I'm talking about the general public. At best the know the books existed, hardly anyone read them compared to the number of people who claim to be fans due to the movies.I dunno, when someone tells me they're a star wars fan there's usually a 50/50 chance that they actually are pretty familiar with the EU. Usually the ones that aren't are younger zoomers who grew up when the EU was getting overshadowed by Filoni Wars or boomers/gen xers who were too old to have kids when the prequels were coming out.
Millenials are in their early 30s at the youngest. If anyone is talking Star Wars at the office, it isn't going to be the boomers or the zoomers. That's why I said office watercooler
This doesn't have anything to do boomers, zoomers, or anything of the sort. I didn't say go find people talking about star warsMillenials are in their early 30s at the youngest. If anyone is talking Star Wars at the office, it isn't going to be the boomers or the zoomers.
As in start a conversation not find one. Yes, there are people over the age of 40 who will claim to be star wars fans if the topic comes up, tons of them. But they don't randomly bring it up because for them nothing existed outside of episodes 1-6 until the recent live action stuff. And clearly there's no millennial/zoomer/alpha audience for shit like the acolyte and obiwan because no one is watching it, and even the shows that did have an audience completely fell off like mandalorian and ahsoka because the writing either went to shit(mandalorian, compared to how it started) or it's a bunch of characters they know nothing about(ahsoka).Go try to strike up some water cooler conversation at work
Not quite. The Avatar movies didn't have a charismatic villain. Nor did they have a lesson to teach. The PT was about autism and incompetence, love it, grew up on it, but no, George is a fucking retard and 2/3 of the prequels are crap the same way the Avatar movies are.
Not really. It's just that you now have a younger generation who can approach the Prequels without preconceived biases. In the same way, even the people who saw the Prequels liked them enough to buy the merch, unlike the Sequels where the merchandise rotted on the shelves. The Sequel era being so much worse has created some revisionist history regarding the prequels but nah, everything before the fun and games on Geonosis is the diary of robot who is desperately trying to emulate organic behaviour.
Even if critics hated the lotr trilogy at release, it was definitely loved by audiences at the time and wasn't some situation of developing a cult following later.Ironically, the same thing thay befell the Prequels happened to Lord of the Rings; hated by critics during the time of its release, but loved by later audiences.
I was talking about the books. Not the films.Even if critics hated the lotr trilogy at release, it was definitely loved by audiences at the time and wasn't some situation of developing a cult following later.
Got it.I was talking about the books. Not the films.
The books were dragged through the mud by critics as anemic and boring, but a later cult following of hippies salvaged the series' reputation.
Also, given that all three Prequel movies made bank, AND the merchandise sold like hotcakes, it's quite obvious the fans loved them.
Lmao, we're still parroting this shit like it hasn't already been debunked?Yeah no, the OT was good in spite of George not because of him and the best one was made without him directing. “A New Hope” was a nightmare in production, everyone was rolling over him and was saved by tight editing
This upcoming Nihilus had a couple of tweaks from the sculpt and the addition of soft goods. Strange still not to have Sion but it's cool for those who don't have Nihilus. I agree that it should have been a 3-pack instead.I think this Nihilus is a new body? I’ve been out of the game for awhile but proportions look different from the old. The reason is Nihilus is the one most likely to be known by normies from click bait slop.
The confusion comes from why not just do a three-pack and upcharge the shit out of it?
The question is which Scion design is it gonna be? Cause I could see the fuckers using the smoother (more easy to make from repurposed parts) Force Unleashed look that SWTOR used.
Yeah I saw those KOTOR 1 abortions on Amazon, hope that fucking thing never comes out. This upcoming Nihilus had a couple of tweaks from the sculpt and the addition of soft goods. I have both Darth Malak and Bastila but their looks were supposedly based from the upcoming remake of KotOR 1 instead of the original ones.
I too, love the tarnished state of the original movies, once George, the second he was left to his own devices did everything he could to make things worse by smearing shit on the screen.Lmao, we're still parroting this shit like it hasn't already been debunked?
Quaritch is the most charismatic character in those movies. That's why he comes back despite dying. Not quite. The Avatar movies didn't have a charismatic villain. Nor did they have a lesson to teach.
All three are awesome despite their hang-ups. Sion deserves more love.Yeah I saw those KOTOR 1 abortions on Amazon, hope that fucking thing never comes out.
Scion is in a weird place where he’s the second most prominent villian of the game but least-known/liked of the Triumvirate. Despite being the best and one half of the Vader whole him and Nihilus deconstruct, the man and the armor.
Shills are one of the most insufferable people to exist due to having lack of actual life to begin with.Disney shills are freaking out at the possibility of Gina Carano returning![]()
This may come as a shock to you, but the prequels are more than twenty years old. It's not hard to find people in a workplace who grew up and loved the Star Wars EU.That's why I said office watercooler
The Thrawn Trilogy alone sold something like 15 million copies when they were new. Is that a fraction of the people who watched and liked the movies? Sure. But people who just liked the movies probably aren't going to be interested in gushing about Star Wars in a casual conversation to begin with.hardly anyone read them compared to the number of people who claim to be fans due to the movies.
Why do you think I said over 40?This may come as a shock to you, but the prequels are more than twenty years old. It's not hard to find people in a workplace who grew up and loved the Star Wars EU.
No shit, that's why I've said multiple times now to bring it up and see how people respond to it. Obviously the average person is not going to randomly bring up Star Wars and start yapping about it ad nauseum. I don't understand why this is so hard to figure out.The Thrawn Trilogy alone sold something like 15 million copies when they were new. I didn't say the 40+ crowd was the main audience for Disney's shit. In fact I saidI also don't know why you seem weirdly insistent on thinking that it's the 40+ crowd who are the main audience for Disney livestream slop. Grogu was a psyop aimed at childless millennial women and most of the Disney Wars shows deal with characters that people under 40 are most familiar with and under 40 are more likely to be subscribers to Disney plus.
Since when do zoomers and alpha count as 40+? Or have you not noticed that Disney has been pissing away millions per episode on their live action shit with no one watching it? It's not that the audience is >40 or <40, it has no audience. The only shit the average zoomer and younger millennial might care about is Ahsoka since she's a character from the Clone Wars cartoon, and even then the Ahsoka show still didn't do very well. And clearly there's no millennial/zoomer/alpha audience for shit like the acolyte and obiwan because no one is watching it, and even the shows that did have an audience completely fell off like mandalorian and ahsoka because the writing either went to shit(mandalorian, compared to how it started) or it's a bunch of characters they know nothing about(ahsoka).
They also pivoted hard to pander to the millenial audience with lots of Prequel referencing and riffing. The Mandalorian show is like 50% prequel references, 50% stealing from the EU.I also don't know why you seem weirdly insistent on thinking that it's the 40+ crowd who are the main audience for Disney livestream slop. Grogu was a psyop aimed at childless millennial women and most of the Disney Wars shows deal with characters that people under 40 are most familiar with and under 40 are more likely to be subscribers to Disney plus.
I’ve said it before but I stand by that they’re the best Sith group (duos/trios/teams not empires) outside the two originals. Sith have a problem outside the PT and OT where they still wear the Empire’s trappings. KOTOR is forgiven because it’s a love letter to the OT and the first toe dipped into the era. It’s just the OT but Luke learns he was the Emperor instead of learning his dad is the second most evil thing in the galaxy. All three are awesome despite their hang-ups. Sion deserves more love.
Witches and wolves with that nigga. He ain’t right.Embo's new pet
