People have paid money for worse art. Any lazy bastard can shit in a bucket tomorrow while flogging himself across the back with a dead turkey, call it 'performance art' and have people analyze his 'performance' nowadays.

Say of Chris what you will but what he does isn't any less "art" then some drunk dude smashing paint on canvas randomly. Though a Pollack probably makes a much better background piece then a Chandler.

A lot of modern art does seems to be about marketing, I think Chris would be classified as an outsider artist, sadly they tend to only become famous after their death.

I can imagine future hipsters in 20xx pouring over Sonichu proclaiming it a genius commentary on the commercialism of the 90/00s.
