Yeah, not that I follow him so maybe I'm wrong but Wigger Will seems to be a little too reasonable for today's left.

And, yeah, there is a contingent of Gen-X and Boomers on the left that still think it's the same party of the 90s. The few I know don't care much for minorities and immigrants mucking up things but they're too steeped in identity politics, their own personal identities as Democrats, to be of any real use.

The older generation of Democrats were at least a little cool. The old codger that told me that he voted for Obama because it was "time for America to have a nigger President" was a hoot. They would all be far less insufferable if they dropped the sanctimonious act and stopped trying to pretend that they're morally superior to everyone else. Republican voters would be far more open to EBT or a welfare state programs if a Democrat told them, "Trust me, those incompetent niggers need it or they'd starve, and I don't want that happening on my lawn." instead of trying to preach about systematic injustice and whatever next-wave Marxist clap trap they spout on about.

The current and previous generation of Democrats are entirely brain-rotted zombies, however. Even if they don't say it themselves, they allow themselves to be led around by an insane minority that realized that the DSA was a waste of time and they could just take over a massive herd of niggercattle that will blindly follow along. Their party needs a Trump to come through and destroy the remnants of the pernicious party machine that will do nothing but shit out worthless candidates with the same failed ideas. Bush and his ilk left the Republican party in such a bad position by 2008 that the Democrats would still be winning elections if Trump hadn't come along and shook things up in such a massive way.

Slightly off topic for this thread, but this has actually been said. There was a debate between George Wallace and William F. Buckley in the 60s that touched on this. Buckley was very much a Republican fiscal conservative but more moderate than Wallace, and was criticizing Wallace for being both pro-segregation and pro-welfare.

Buckley was basically saying "welfare is a waste of money and unnecessary, also you're racist". And Wallace basically said what you wrote but more politely. I'm paraphrasing but it was along the lines of "yeah I don't like blacks, but they're still my constituents and I don't want them starving."

Look, Will, I understand. You look around and see horrible things happen, and you want to Do Something About It. I get that. It's a normal, human response. But here's the problem: you are Doing Something About It in the most self-aggrandizing and limp-wristed way possible. This is because you are taking your cues from a group of emotionally unstable clowns who have no plans on how to defeat Trump and Trumpism besides throwing tantrums on social media. They have been doing that for a decade now. Think of the hundreds of protests, the thousands of ragebait articles, and the millions of angry tweets directed at Trump. Has any of that cause him to moderate his behavior or reflect on what a horrible person he's being? Have you accomplished anything besides making your erstwhile allies shit all over you? Why do you continue to chase the approval of these lunatics?
