Why the fuck are we still negotiating through Pakistan? They've proven to be nothing but incompetents, telling each side what they want to hear and should've (never been involved to begin with) been kicked to the curb weeks ago.

With Lippold's comments a couple of days ago saying the very same thing, and Trump advocating for his position, it's starting to sound more and more like we aren't.
Trump barely gave them lip service during his Q&A yesterday while saying that most negotiations are happening via telephone.
It feels more like Iran is continuing to use them because they see them as suckers who are easily leaned upon and willing to twist all their demands through their "YES, SAAR" ballwashing filter.
They currently seem more interested in attacking the Taliban in Afghanistan than anything right now.

As I posted earlier, Pakistan is aware of the situation but not directly involved. Pakistan has close ties with Iran, the Gulf, but also has open relations with the US and China. (to say nothing of their control over the UK government). They are not overly friendly with Iran, they will not feel pressured by their population to be seen negotiating with Jews.
They would be a perfectly reasonable party to run negotiations, except that they are using the situation for izzat farming.

Reminder the southern regions of Iran get a good bit of precipitation during the winter months, the north part of the country too, but the central region is a desert..
