She handles drama as a reasonable human being does; By not adding fuel into the fire and let everyone else tear each others apart.

It wasn't free, it's a paid model she ripped from VRchat, which means she didn't even have rights to stream with it which she would have if she'd spent a few bucks.
She also ripped several other models in the same way, and then bragged about it on stream repeatedly.

And then tried to make merch of it, which even the paid model doesn't give rights for.
In Japan at that, which is both where the model maker is from, and a notoriously litigious country regarding copyright.

She's good at riding that edgy line while also not really caring about backlash for anything, which has contributed to her massive following. I'm surprised people like that wokescold fatty whore Cottontail are still willing to collab with her. Maybe the viewer numbers are just too juicy to avoid.

I do find it hilarious that the video uploader is seething in the description, I guess this was ammunition for cancel attempts.

I imagine it's because when Filian says those things it's for the meme & not to go on some diatribe about how Floyd did or didn't deserve it. Shit like "I can't breathe" & George Droid were popular regardless of how controversial the origin was. She makes edgy jokes but her streams aren't political & she's more than willing to hang out with anyone regardless of their politics.

Being poached by an agency would make sense in light of filian purging her social media, but I don't think Phase requires their talent to do that. Marimari Underscore EN (yes, I like all of the goofiest vtubers) didn't wipe anything when she joined Phase. It was just a simple re-branding process. filian wouldn't have to do any of this ARG stuff to string people along either. The re-debut with a monetizable character is imo the simpler and more likely theory.

More importantly, even people that start a new life as a corpo Vtuber usually leave their past work up untouched. It's a marketing stunt to erase everything, and it's working, because everyone's talking about it.

True, with Phase if a talent wants to join with their own existing character they become an Invader (like MariMari, Sleepy and Clio). Perhaps she wanted to take a break but yeah, why delete everything?

If I had to hazard a guess, it is quite possible that basically pilfering her model and using it without the creators permission for all manner of merchandise potentially finally caught up to her legally. So to evade any problems she's just culled everything and is going to start anew with a fresh look that will no longer have issues with copyright.
