Pressure washing and landscaping are oversaturated markets thanks to social media making them explode in popularity. There is good money in small business trade work though. If you live in a place with lots of pools, there's good money in cleaning, treating and maintaining pools for people. Basically look at your local market and see what you can do to fill a need in it. Even picking up dog shit and throwing out people's trash bags for them are viable ways to make money.

If the US reverts to selection of senators by the state (either elected by legislature or appointed by governor) this isn't the worst idea. Diluting the influence of individual politicians and confining them to smaller geographical areas, especially with the House, could correct a lot of problems. Imagine if your representative was actually from your community and had to face his neighbors regularly. I don't really see a comparable reason to increase the number of senators, who ideally would represent the interests of the state government, rather than just being a representative but bigger.
I can respect the basic ethos here, but let's call a spade a spade. This is something where If you're going to do the one, you might as well do them all. At least, eventually, I'll accept one after another.
