Even if we take the chick's account at face-value, she was being a passive idiot who was trying to get something she wasn't going to get, and kept sticking around even after it was obvious that that wasn't what she was going to get. And when he, being the jeet dog that he is, was forthcoming with what he wanted, she did the dumb bitch thing of trying to hint and communicate through mind games that that wasn't what she wanted. Women need to stop being such pussies about these things. If you don't want to fuck on the first date, which is fair and reasonable, say so and go home. It's not like, from her own account, it wasn't obvious from his behavior that he was treating the actual date portion as a formality to getting a quick lay. And yeah, he probably did pick up on the hints and deliberately ignored them. But by not being forthright and firm, and by choosing to stick around under the delusions that she could change the trajectory of how that evening was going, she left him with plenty of plausible deniability.

The Louis CK situation was a weird one because it dug a bit into to the holy woke principle of "affirmative consent". I think it's generally.accepted that he asked for consent and respected when the answer was no.

Early on, the female comics he was asking didn't seem to really a give a shit when they were he was young and developing careers at the same time. Nobody even really seemed to care that he was a wildly cheating husband; that kind if shit isn't rare with people who travel to be onstage for a living.

Where it gets tricky is that he kept doing it with young aspiring comedian chicks even after he was massively successful and wielded a ton of power over their career potential and opportunities.

My big takeaway from the Louis story that if you accumulate a lot of power in your industry, you should choose to date outside of that industry, which shouldn't be a huge ask. Highly successful men will always have dating options and obtaining consent is fraught when you have direct, specific power over the other party.

It's grody even at the petty level of a bar manager who won't assign waitresses to the popular/high-tip tables if they won't suck his cock. Similar shit happens in all kinds of workplaces and has rightly become unacceptable where exposed.

I'm glad Louis is back though because he's talented, paid a huge penalty over this, and I'm not with the "fuck you, grovel forever" crowd.
