Wow, and here I thought I couldn't hate Sony any more than I already do.

If Nintendo decides to jeet-it-up like them and Microshit, the console market is officially dead, and considering their eShop lineup (what with all the shovelware running more rampid than the Wii and 3DS combined), the big N isn't too far from that.

Do Indians themselves even want or play these games, or do they just stick with the games that they already play? What do they play, anyways? I'd assume that they'd be attracted to Free-to-play slop games.

Here is how it is in India when it comes to gaming and electronics. India is a country of extreme heat and humid, it works wonders on electronic and discs media. Every electronics down there need to be recapped, checked for dirt and rust. Also anything disc media needs to be checked for sun damage and disc rot.

The situation in Steam is absolutely horrid by sheer volume alone. Generative asset generation has exacerbated the problem as shovelware peddlers are uploading games where art, music, voices lines, textures and even coding are all AI slop. Nevertheless Nintendo's e-shop manages to be objectively worse because there are no tools to filter any of it out. There are no user ratings, reviews nor user labels, there are no Curators to warn you about this content and worse of all no refunds on digital purchases. Both stores are full of trash but at least Steam lets you filter it out by blocking developers/publishers that make this crap and you can get your money back.
 
There are an absolute fuck ton of AI generated survival crafting games on Steam and I assume that genre is ground zero for AIslop because it's so easy.

You just tell Gork or whatever to generate a couple tooltips and your good to go.
 
Is near impossible to don't get shovelware or scam games in a popular plataform.
All started with PS1 but there's horrible coded games in earlier gens like Stargazer of NES (that shit is horrid even in its conception, and that was the work of only one guy, which is impressive at worst).
PS2 had his share too. Wii too. Now Steam.

"Problem?" I don't recall Steam ever forcing me to purchase or download shovelware. Maybe that's in a beta build I missed?

There's an endless mountain of shit in every retail store on this planet, from Walmart to eBay to Steam. Ain't my problem. Buy the good stuff and ignore the rest. Shit, Steam even allows you to easily refund purchases if you buy dogshit by accident. What's the "problem" again? You're not seriously crying out for "curation" at this point, are you? Do you not remember where that goes every time it's tried?

Returnal itself does seem interesting, but indeed it's not a system seller, and while Sony fanboys will speak positively about the game, they never really do prove themselves to genuinely enjoy the game, since they're more interested in sports games, movie games, or as who I'm about to mention prefers, multiplat games. Playstation exclusives that don't play like a third person cover shooter with extensive walking and talking segments are just opportunities to show their loyalty to Sony.

Despite trying to build an entire Youtube career on talking shit about Xbox and PC gaming and calling others grifters, he is unable to think of streaming anything other than Marvel Rivals, which is available with crossplay on multiple systems. He and his crooked nose tries so hard to rely on appearing correct by putting on a smug face and appearing confident until whatever claims or arguments he makes in Sony's favor turn out to be true.

People like these don't actually care about games like Returnal, or Gravity Rush, or Pataon, or anything that didn't come out of a western AAA company's ass. They're mostly here because they think that the Playstation's price makes ownership a stockholder-level investment and a pass to a secret club, nevermind the fact that PC gaming has a potentially similar (initial) hardware cost and is technically more difficult to get into. If they aren't wannabe Apple cultists, then they're just niggers and wiggers pretending at being professional podcasters, unaware that they're the same genetic stock as Darksydephil.

More or less, yes. If I had to find a difference is that while a Mary Sue is "flawless", a "girlboss" has all the same traits as a "toxic male" but they get praised for it.

An example: A Mary Sue is perfect and polite, which earns her praise to the point of worship. She is too perfect to be interesting. A girlboss is mean and rude but that is shown as a good thing. She acts like an asshole but she isn't called out by anyone other than envious men.

In short, girlbosses are too toxic while Mary Sues are too perfect. They are both praised by the narrative though.
