You said the olive pollen study doesn't count because it was done using already compromised Israelis.
I showed that same study was done on both jewish and Palestinian patients with allergies to pollen, and the Palestinian patients still had much lower rates of olive pollen sensitivity compared to the jewish ones.

It's interesting how there's no rational place to discuss this conflict. You either have to be a Trust-The-Plan Stan and can't call into question the motivation, methods or tactics, or you have to be violently brown and desire BRICs superiority because Jews.

Many ancient societies had the tradition of two champions settling things rather than everyone going into battle en masse. In an age where any old wound could get infected and lose you a limb; or a broken bone could end your productive life as a hunter or farmer, avoiding a sudden wave of serious injuries and deaths was a pretty good thing. The Irish myth of Cú Chulainn features such a tradition taking place, but it was a known thing through much of the ancient world. The story of Goliath is about one such resorting to this tradition to save lives. How it's supposed to work is that if both sides, agree, their champions will fight and the losing champion's side will concede defeat and the conflict ends. Someone may die but at least it's someone not somemany.

But in this tale, the Israelites refuse to depart after defeat. They want another go. And another go. Goliath defeats each in honourable combat. Then some little shit kills him from a distance with a projectile weapon. And his mates launch an unprovoked attack. To some the moral is "brains beats brawn" but the Phillistines weren't stupid (and actually historically were a pretty interesting civilisation) and nor was the tradition a bad one. What the story shows to everyone else is that some people, through treachery, devalued a tradition that saved lives and which was used to settle disputes. If it's true - but that's kind of academic because what matters is the cultural significance of the 'lesson'.

It's one of those things like not using assassination of enemy leaders as a tool of war, because (a) it just makes it riskier for everyone and (b) it makes actually negotiating peace much, much harder. It's a tactic you only employ if you don't actually want peace.
