My personal conspiracy:
That there honestly aren't that many "Large" conspiracies. (9/11, Covid, Chemtrails) There are obviously conspiracies and they prevade everything, but I don't think the Government and the Ruling Class have that much of an actual handle on Society.
I think they just sorta let Capital and People's, like, tendency for comfort and fullfilment by itself naturally enforce their status quo.
Though I do believe they secretly encourage conspiracy thinking to make them looked far stronger and in more control.
Ah yes, the classic “there is no conspiracy” conspiracy theory.
What I find interesting is that the language used by people who take this position, when extrapolated to its logical conclusion, is just a horseshoe of what “real” conspiracy theorists think.
There is no single overarching objective and no singular insular society which pulls the strings. There is however training and tooling to make people behave and follow a desirable track in their day-to-day lives.
I don’t need to sit a population down in a room with their eyes mechanically held open to watch a subliminal brainwashing movie. All that needs to be done is to create a structure where my ability to exercise power is prorated to their unwillingness and fear to leave a routine. The fact is that the subjects of most of given conspiracy theories are in an opportunistic position to game the system or take advantage of those with lesser power: they don’t need to do any string pulling, they only need to affirm that the systems in place are necessary and less fallible than any alternative. The structure doesn’t need to be created, it needs only to be wielded correctly.
The power and structure are already here when we are born. Unless we can completely escape the system we are under (this is not possible in any feasible timescale, that is to be completely something else than what we are), these power dynamics will exist, and groups will conspire against you simply because the structure demands it.
So no, there is no illuminati, but there are countless groups, individuals, and now even soulless algorithms who actively conspire against you, almost parasitically, sucking away the things that make you who you are without your involvement, so that the systems in place can better distract, belittle, and demand from you.
I suppose my only purpose for replying is to say that your words may be different but the meaning is the same.
