Lol, just play healer or get carried I hear that's what all the new masters are doin, or that's what everyone is bitching about. Can't really blaim the team when it comes to losing, but sometimes people are too heavy to carry.

The ranking system is fucked and always has been. It's not my fault the people I get matched with more than half the time have horrible team communication. Also the penalties for losing streaks are ridiculous. I'll consider myself lucky if I ever make it out of gold.

At least they fixed the damn feeding a lot of "pros" were doing to gain ranks. (aka creating an alternate low rank account, to level down their average level so they could farm lower level opponents and climb without fighting the real top tier players)

Do you guys think the game will die? Or at least the esports scene of the game?
Many times, I see a pro/high ranking streamer prophesizing about the the pro scene's demise. My casual pov tells me that they're pessimistic and having high expectations for a young game. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, if you understand how esports work.

Maybe I'm just an aged, desensitized anus, but I've shrugged off a lot of the sexism you mention here :powerlevel:female mercy main btw haHAA:powerlevel:.
Or maybe I don't use mic as often.
I also get a sort of sick amusement from seeing other people show their pathetic side and be petty towards me. I'm not sure that my judgement would be the most appropriate here, but take it for what it is

I do believe that for the average female player being introduced to competitive team games, this sort of treatment you described would be a soiled diaper for them. They either feel hurt about it each time it happens, or they get numb. That's how guys have done it, too. That's the internet culture, as you say. Frankly it's a little bit sad. Maybe not sad enough to start a movement over it, but sad enough to keep an eye out for your friends. You don't want to see your friend go so numb they lose sense of decent social boundaries, then turn into a cow because they tried too hard to impress.
But I don't think that type of corruption happens often. People just gotta balance their level of thick-skin.

I don't think the game will "die" soon, but it's definitely feeling stale and not as fun as it was before. Unique character traits are being changed so that most people more or less perform similarly, characters are being neutered to near uselessness, and there's a lot of imbalance. I feel there's not much in-game content that comes regularly aside from cosmetics, which are just limited-time cash grabs (that's its own issue). Blizzard doesn't do a great job of responding to feedback in a timely manner either. I think Blizzard really needs to step back and reassess their intentions with the game and listen to the thoughtful feedback some people are trying to provide.

The problem is that it's a multiplayer game where you have to communicate with your team.
But every team you get is full of assholes.

Case in point, this happened to me last night.

DOOMFIST IS LIVE

It only took like 700 years for me to get into a game because of the problems earlier today.

Despite playing 8 other characters alongside him, Doomfist was what brought me back to Overwatch full time. Such a satisfying hero to use with such a badass design + backstory and as a martial artist I love the fact they incorporated modern styles and obscure African ones like Dambe into his fighting style.
Note the way young Doomfist wraps only one of his hands + the stance of Doomfist below and compare that with a video of said martial art

Summer Games 2017 is up and running! No idea how the servers are right now, but earlier today I've seen complaints about a huge queue time (2000+ people in front of you, etc.,)
